Hayden Kered Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 I have started collecting The Clone Wars Pocket Models and just got a card titled "Jedi" Binks. Does any one know what this is a reference to, or who the character is? Here is a picture:
Astor Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 I can't see the picture, so maybe it's pre-destined that we don't know. Seriously, though, i've no idea. But I hope it's not what came into my head when I saw the thread title. "Mesa have laser sword and Obi Wan go BOOM!"
Hayden Kered Posted September 5, 2008 Author Posted September 5, 2008 What do you mean you can't see the picture? Did you try to refresh? It is viewable to me. The only thing I can think of is maybe it is a relative of Jar Jar's, and is to be the first known Gungan to be Force sensitive.
Astor Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 I tried to refresh, just the dreaded 'red x', i'm afraid. Although I did try to search google and it came up with nothing. That's an interesting theory. Let's hope it's right, and not something... worse.
Hayden Kered Posted September 5, 2008 Author Posted September 5, 2008 Ok, I saved the picture and uploaded it to my photobucket album! Can you see it?
Astor Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Ah yes. Looking at the picture, maybe a gungan with delusions of grandeur? Especially with the quotation marks around "Jedi" like that, i'd say it's a gungan with reality issues.
Ctrl Alt Del Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Probably something that will feature on one of the episodes of the upcoming Clone Wars tv series. Jar jar will probably disguises himself as a Jedi to intimidate some Seps, at least that's one interpretation for the "Jedi" on quotes.
GeneralPloKoon Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Having the name Binks is enough to go WTF!
Da_man Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Having the name Binks is enough to go WTF! Quoted for absolutely, positively, undeniable truth. If there is a new (live-action, not this animated crap) Star Wars movie, and it has Jar Jar as a jedi in it, I'm throwing away all my Star Wars crap and living in the woods with Bigfoot.
M@RS Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 Hehe, not a bad idea, I might have to go with you...

If there is a new (live-action, not this animated crap) Star Wars movie, and it has Jar Jar as a jedi in it, I'm throwing away all my Star Wars crap and living in the woods with Bigfoot. You know how Bigfoot is actually a wookiee... Plus, female twi'leks are 780790789789 times better than female wookiees.

I hope this is a Photoshop joke, or I'm joining you in the woods. Maybe we can prove he really does exist. We cen get rich.
Miltiades Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 I don't think it's a joke. I've read somewhere at TheForce.net that Binks disguises himself as a Jedi to rescue Padmé who has been captured by Nute Gunray in one of the upcoming Clone Wars Episodes. It's not 100% sure, but it seems likely. Pack your bags, guys, and give biggie a hug from me in the woods when you're there.
Da_man Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 Why is this so popular a week after I posted it? Besides I said Live action (READ: NOT ANIMATED) movie. Still, I might just go live in the woods anyways. Bigfoot just invited me over for dinner.
Hayden Kered Posted September 12, 2008 Author Posted September 12, 2008 Let's just hope he doesn't obtain a lightsaber!

Still, I might just go live in the woods anyways. Bigfoot just invited me over for dinner. It's quite common knowledge that Lucas announced that he won't be doing any more live-actions movies anymore. Of course, initially, his argument didn't include the "live action" part.
M@RS Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Bummer, I was hoping for an episode in EU, and not an animated one either *sighs* oh well...
