jrrtoken
Now that, ladies and gentlemen, is a lot of money for a political campaign. I wonder what he's going to do with it all after the election. (Not that I'm saying that he's already won, but...)
Litofsky
I believe that I heard from MSNBC that McCain is using public funding, and has, as a result, about $80 million dollars for his entire campaign. I believe Obama's $150 million from one month trumps McCain's collections. The question now is "Will Obama use this money correctly?
Achilles
Goes in the coffers as part of the Obama 2012 warchest.

Achilles
I believe that I heard from MSNBC that McCain is using public funding, and has, as a result, about $80 million dollars for his entire campaign. I believe Obama's $150 million from one month trumps McCain's collections. This is correct. McCain gets no new money after the RNC(onvention), aside from this single amount. The RNC(ommittee) itself can still take in money and use it towards McCain's campaign (however this money has to be used against Obama and Dems in general in equal measure). The downside for Republicans is that the more RNC money that goes into McCain's campaign, the less there is to spread around to the other Senate/House races down-ticket. Obama on the other hand doesn't get the public money, but gets to raise as much private money as he can. Since Obama doesn't have to tap into DNC money, he can fund his own campaign while freeing up that DNC money for the down-ticket races. The question now is "Will Obama use this money correctly?According to jmac he is. Also this.
Tyrion
Also this. According to my calculation: 250,000 $/Minute * 30 minutes = 7,500,000 dollars. Obama could very well have the entire night to himself if he wanted to.
Jae Onasi
Now that, ladies and gentlemen, is a lot of money for a political campaign. I wonder what he's going to do with it all after the election. (Not that I'm saying that he's already won, but...) As the pundit Paul Green says, 'whoever has the most money wins'. It's not 100%, but it's generally true.
