They haven't found the problem with the car yet, so they are keeping it over night.

Guess I'm staying home and taking it easy this evening.

That's OK... I have a lot of laundry to get to... and I could really stand to catch up on sleep already.

Mom bought all new living room furniture today. That means I have to find a home for all the old stuff... and assemble the new stuff. Whoo-hoo... :dozey:

Still no car. I may not get it until tomorrow now, as I have to start thinking about getting ready and heading off to work.

My boss came over last night and took one of the old tables from the livingroom. That will help a bit.

Hung out over his place for a while after helping him in with the table. Nice apartment.

we got a new scanner system at work for invntory. nice thing about them is i can do some limited web browsing now. but it has made things a bit hectic at work. had to put in some overtime this week, and had to cancel my weekend plans with my GF so i could get some major overtime at work. yes i am working sat and sunday.

BUT... my GF and i had a wonderful evening last night, had a romantic dinner, with some incredible food. went home and had some serious discussion abut US, and then started making out. quite fun, and enjoyable, tho we had to stop because things did get a bit out of hand. we laughed about it while we cooled off.

i bet we were glowing

saw her off this morning before we have to go back to work, but she left me some chilie, muffins, and bread. hopfully going up to see her oct 10th

Today I get a bro-inlaw!! :D

it's a bit too early to pre-game. the wedding is at 1.

playing some EndWar on hardcore.....it is very difficult on that setting, but i want to learn the game that way so when i take it to Theatre of War, I'll know what I'm doing. plus, i'll unlock alot of achievements in it. :)

oh, met my sister's sister-in-law. she seems pretty cool.

got some new windshield wiper blades, the old ones are rusty. getting my car ready for inspection. it better freaking pass.

i better pass the next pt test i take. i'm pretty confident that i can pass the pushups and the situps. the running is getting easier i think...running 3 miles as opposed to 2 really makes 2 miles seem like nothing, so i'm trying to get my 3 mile time down instead of the 2 mile time...i cut 25 seconds off it yesterday since the only 3 mile i really timed was the 5k race last week, which i ran in 29:45, my time yesterday was 29:20. my shins were killing me on the way back though, i walked a mile then ran the last 2 at a slow-pace. just wanting to get to the point where my shins aren't hurting!!!! they stopped hurting before but i took 3 weeks off running. then again, i was running at the track most of the time and now i'm running on asphalt, not so much worrying about hills at least since my running road is between a mountain and a stream.

oh yeah @k: i'm not the one getting married. :p

Played at a wedding this morning. My first time being hired to play the organ at anything. Not perfect, but it wasn't a disaster. A girl I used to go to church with was there playing some music too. She was five years younger, and now she's all hot. So I chatted her up. Everything was going great. But then instead of asking for her number I gave her a business card. What the hell am I doing? Dammit.

Good news and bad news on the car:

Good: No charge for any of the work for the last 3 days. :)

Bad: No solid assurance that they've really fixed the problem, either. :(

They cleaned out all the drain tracks and replaced some of them... then they stuck a hose on the car for 3 hours, with no leaks... but nobody was willing to say "All fixed!"

Time will tell... but hopefully that did the trick.

They told me to keep bringing it back until they fix it though... but I'm not ready to live without wheels for another 3 days any time soon. I'll see how it goes. If it comes back I'll see how long I can live with it until things slow down again.

Get some rubber floor mats and a hair-drier that plus into a lighter socket...

Training day went OK.

Came home and finished the Monkey Island game.

Long day, and week (make that weeks...) ahead of me now. Thursday is the only day I have off this week... and next week is even busier than this one.

Oh well... summer is truly over.

plunger test? if it involves a tube going up your manhole, i feel sorry for you. a pain you'll NEVER forget, and wish you had never experienced.

Got Halo 3 ODST. it is ****ing sweet!!!!!! So far loving the feel to it, the weapons have recoil now, the visor takes a little getting used to, and the map is a little weird. the ai of the enemies is pretty good. it came with 2 discs, the campaign and a multiplayer, apparently multiplayer has all of halo 3's multiplayer maps and stuff on it. haven't checked it. too tired!

tired because i woke up with a sore throat. trying to kill it with old robitussin and pain-killers....hoping i wake up tomorrow ready to go running.
