edlib
4:15 am, and I'm up getting ready for work. Hooray for less-than 4 hours sleep! I have a 7am - 7pm work day ahead of me... all outdoors. Hooray for jazz festivals. I am counting the seconds before I can get back home to get to sleep. Ugh. K_Kinnison
I have yet to go to a high school reunion. our 10th was announced 2 weeks in advance. 4 more years til our 20th. My parents 40th High School reunion was worth going to, it was held at the Wisconsin Governers mansion, since the governer at the time was from thier class. Going to a friends B-day party tonight, going to spend a lot of time playing rock Band and maybe some other PS3 games. or talking with his wife who is a good friend also

edlib
Caught up on some sleep... though I still don't think it will be enough. Bruce Hornsby today. Should be easy... though another 12+ hour shift.
Keyan Farlander
Man, that was the worst reunion ever. It was in some run-down bar in Baltimore. Couldn't we get...like...something in a hotel or a nice place? Saw a few people it was OK to catch up with, but that was mostly a huge waste of my time. edlib
Got home after 1am last night. It was a pretty easy day... not counting having to move his 9-foot Steinway in and out of the building.

edlib
Piano moving is never worth what they pay in my opinion. But getting it out was much easier than going in.

Rogue15
9th day of work...going in late to cause a little more drama. 'OMG YOU'RE LATE' oh cry me a ****ing river......i was originally scheduled off today anyway.
Keyan Farlander
Piano moving is never worth what they pay in my opinion. But getting it out was much easier than going in. Then charge more. It would be worth any amount of money to have a REAL piano to play instead of a digital.
edlib
Well: our fees are fixed. You rent the hall, you get us all at that rate. Normally, we don't move the things. (We have a 7-foot Yamaha C7 Grand that's perfectly fine that never moves off our stage and is tuned at least 3 times a week.) But occasionally (maybe once every other year, like last night...) we get that one artist who travels with their own (because they are a Steinway or Baldwin guy, and won't play or can't be seen playing ours...) and as stagehands, we have to take it off and put it back on the truck as if it were any other piece of gear. Sucks hard... but it's part of the gig. If the artist is using a piano that is not ours, but also not traveling with it, the guys who provide it do all the work. We usually don't lay hands on it in that case.
Rogue15
saw my ex today. i barely recognized her. she changed her hair color and gained like a thousand pounds in 6 months. hard to believe she used to do yoga. anyway she asked if i had her money, i was like wtf you mean? she got pissed after i told her i'm not paying it back, i never agreed to. she got mad and said something like 'karma is going to get you' or something. whatever. anyway...i ran 6 miles before work this morning, walked a little of it...still completed it in an hour 5 minutes 2 seconds. the shin splints seem to be going away!!! i called my recruiter, gave him my new #, and i'll be taking another pt test on saturday. hopefully i pass pushups/situps this time and HOPEFULLY the run. i haven't ran on the track since school started... Wildstar
Motherboard finally died on my 5-year old computer, but the good news is that I have enough saved up for a new one. Bad news, though, is I have to wait until the weekend when my brother can help get the new computer back to my place. Spent the idle time productively yesterday, anyway, and practiced. Had a 228 game w/ the last 6 in a row.

edlib
Broke down and bought Halo 3: ODST while I was out at the wholesale club store today. (About $15 cheaper than I saw it at the game store last week...) I don't know when I'll get a chance to do anything with it... but I have it. Also bought Pink Panther 2 (for if and when I ever do see M. again we can watch it and pick her out in the scenes...) and a 4 disc set of all the Matrix DVDs (incl. The Animatrix.) I already had a few of those... but it was under $10 for all 4 in a single package. I can give my old ones away and free up some much needed shelf space. Got my haircut too. Crazy short this time. Rogue15
delivered my car for inspection. It better pass, because I don't really feel like forking out money for anything to get fixed. And i need to get a registration sticker yet. I took some nyquil before i went to bed last night and got a much-needed 12 hours of sleep. I played ODST a little bit today, took about an hour to get past the part with the wraith at the bottom of the level. it's sortof getting boring, i don't care for running around the city at night, i don't have an HDTV and playing it with the sun glaring on the screen makes it annoying as hell. I haven't popped disc 2 in yet, apparently it's just halo 3 multiplayer+all the maps. (which i had already bought.....damn it)
