So, i won't even get a message on my private terminal about it until after the suicide mission?

Now i just need to find a step by step guide to the suicide mission so everyone survives that thing.

Here's your guide -

Do all missions for your individual squadmates. On biotic shield, pick Samara/Morinth/Miranda. On second squad, I picked Garrus. I picked Jacob to escort the normandy crew to the ship. Tali should go through pipes.

This won't make any sense until you do it :p

Oh and I noticed that the only sure way, for me at least, to keep Mordin alive, is to take him with you to the last fight.

You don't really need a guide. Just do everyone's loyalty quest beforehand to make sure they are loyal and pick the right people for the Specialist/Fire Team missions. It's actually pretty hard to not get everyone through (or at least to get everyone killed anyway). If you want a guide, the list of possible choices has been posted several times throughout this thread as I recall. The long and short of it though is as follows:

Tech Specialist - Tali/Legion/Kasumi

Biotic Specialist - Samara/Jack

Fire Team Leader - Garrus/Miranda

Some people have issues with Mordin dying at the end, so the best way to ensure his survival is to send him on the Escort mission.

Has that included a successful completion of all loyalty missions? I've generally found that I've not lost Mordin at the end if all/most of crew are loyal.

I've never lost Mordin in any of my playthroughs, but some people have had him die if he is left holding the line even if everyone is loyal and all the right people are chosen for the Specialist/Fire Team roles. He can also apparently die even if taken to the final showdown. Possibly it is some sort of platform specific bug, maybe it's related to some unknown combination of variables, or possibly it's just completely random. Whatever the cause, sending him as the Escort guarantees he'll live.

I think Mordin dying in the hold the line part even if everyone is loyal has to do with too many squashy people in that group. Never put Tali and Mordin together in that group or I know there is a chance for someone to die.

I usually send Tali back to the ship and take Mordin with me. Did not know there was a chance of him dying with Shepard. Hasn't happen in my playthroughs, at least yet.

You can't do it until at least the suicide mission is done, which is the end of the main ME2 plot. You can still play after that, doing any side-missions you missed and DLC.

Wrong ;)

I've just done full ME2 playtrough with all DLCs installed, I got message from Admiral Hacket right after Horizon.

In fact, if you do Arrival before suicide mission, then Collector general will appear at the end instead of Harbringer.

That being said, I suggest doing Arrival after suicide mission... same goes for the Shadow Broker quest.
