Rinku
I was contemplating if I should make my art thread in Kotor: CEC or here in RC: AWL. I have decided that I will post it here because I think it will (hopefully) bring more people to our beloved RC forums All of the pieces will be uploaded through DeviantArt first, then I will post them in my album and update the post(s) Here are some older works: Griffin: Some of you may remember this from M@RS' forum site . Obviously this is photoshoped, using many different pictures I found on mourgefile. Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) Fëanor - Spirit of fire: This was originally a sketch that I scanned. I then cleaned up the sketch, printed it out and used water color pencils to color it in. Then blended using water and when it dried I touched it up with fine tip, felt, ink pens. Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) Leaves: The leaves in this piece are scans of actual leaves. The composition was originally a sketch meant for a painting. It evolved into this when I took a "Computer Graphics and New Media" last year in school. Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) ________________________________________ More current: Grass: I was experimenting with our camera and liked how this came out. Used photoshop to enhance the photo a bit. Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) Mandalorian WIP: Bassed on a pic of Jango I saw online. Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) Clone trooper WIP: Ties together multiple clone aspects. At the moment the generic clone trooper is pretty much finished. Now I am going to add some custom stuff like coloring and items. Rinku
Well school is out! So that means I will have a ton of time to do what I love (art) Here are is are a few pictures from over spring break. Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) Here is a sketch of what I thought I would look like as a pokemon trainer Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) Here is the water color pencil final product (Obviously I edited it out of the paper in photoshop). Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) Finally this is a piece I made for from my english class (it is actually like 3'x6'. Show spoiler (hidden content - requires Javascript to show) Explanation that goes along with the piece (quoted from my deviantart): Excerpt from the Powerpoint I used to explain the piece for a project. I was showing the parallels between absurdism and Surrealism; through Camus and Picasso's works The Stranger and Guernica. "Named Guantanica – Variation between Guernica and Guantanamo. The piece is my interpretation if Picasso had created Guernica in today’s society. Uses surrealism, appears to be irrational. Not all images are clear to the viewer, thus open to interpretation. Is meant to be a social commentary on the torture at Guantanamo, shows the horrors of the torture. This theme is picked because it is considered a major ill in today’s society. Painting explained: Images kept the same in Guantanica: Person lying down with arms stretched out – Effects of the torture methods Light bulb – Sleep Deprivation Candle – Burning Images within Guantanica that are not in Guernica: Dog’s head – Method used to intimidate prisoners Person with a cloth over face – Waterboarding Bug head – Isolation in a room filled with bugs Boxes – Isolation containers, the live burial method" I made this by drawing a sketch of what I wanted the painting to look like. Then I used a projector to expand the image onto canvas. Next I traced with pencil and then filled in the sections with oil sticks. Scanner broke so I wont be uploading stuff for a while....
