"It appears that your sister and I have something in common Tavaryn, we can both make you a bit red in the face."

Tavaryn couldn't help but blush more. He grinned, "So you pick on a fellow when he's down."

Murasaki replied, "Of course. It's always been fun to watch you squirm under the gaze of some lord's daughter. Not that you've shown any interest in them."

"They chase after me," Tavaryn muttered wondering if there was a color darker than red. He looked at Haruka and said, "Now see what you've done?"

Haruka was laughing, "Yeap and I'm enjoying it."

As much as Tavaryn wanted to punch Haruka on the shoulder, he knew he couldn't without aggravating an already stiff and sore are. Instead, he contented himself closing his good arm's hand into a fist and releasing it. "Now that you've had fun at my expense, I think I'll go jump in the creek and drown myself."

"You will remain in our brig until we verify this information. If this information is accurate, you will be allowed to leave and you and your family will be relocated to a planet in republic space."

Jun-la did not like the idea of catering to the Twi'lek but this was an opportunity. It could redeem not only the Jedi but faith in the fleet as well. She said, "Do you have any other information that would be useful?"

Andros checked and triple checked everything. His virus had eradicated the adaptive virus completely. He grinned as he commed the Admiral, "Admiral, all systems go."

"This is Republic Chief of State Arket Lendralis. To whom am I speaking?" The Chief of State's holoimage inquired.

"This is Jedi Knight Kalla Kaltas. We require an audience with the Senate. Avalon has come under attack-" Kalla started to say, only to be cut off by the Chief of State.

"Yes, I know. An Avalonian noble came here not long ago and explained the situation to us." Lendralis explained. "However, I will allow you to make your case. Your request for an audience with the Senate has been granted." The holoimage then faded out.

"That's a bit quick isn't it? All things considered, there's no way someone could have made from here to Coruscant in time to do that. Something's up." Kalla commented.

"Do you have any other information that would be useful?"

The Twi'lek paused for a moment before replying. "I only know that the small stormtrooper unit that will be escoring him is highly trained and are most likely more then a match for average republic solders and jedi. If you do plan to try and capture the Grand Admiral I would recommend that you take an advanced unit with you."

"Admiral, all systems go."

Belina was thinking of the unit that would be best suited to the job when she got the message that the virus was gone.

"Excellent job Andros." She sent back. She then smiled as an idea popped into her head.

This looks like it might be a job for Alpha team. She thought.

"Now that you've had fun at my expense, I think I'll go jump in the creek and drown myself."

Alriana chuckled. "No...I don't think I'll let you do that. First thing first, we have to get back up to the Ackbar as soon as possible. We should find Admiral Garja and get going."

"No...I don't think I'll let you do that. First thing first, we have to get back up to the Ackbar as soon as possible. We should find Admiral Garja and get going."

Tavaryn sighed. No rest for the weary. "I am so glad you think it funny to watch me suffer under the hands of my family moi chroi," he replied witha smile. "The Ackbar will not be in any condition to go anywhere but I guess you are right. We need debriefing."

Padme finished stroking the wyvern and pstted it fondly. She had heard the sigh coming from her brother and wondered what to do about it. She knew that he would continue the fight as badly hurt as he was now and she could tell that he was exhausted. She said, "If what you say is true then we must find out the situation. The communications room at the Keep will be available and I can have some ships be prepped to go if necessary."

Tavaryn nodded. He felt tired as the adrenaline rush died down. "Besides I think a jump in the creek is necessary..." he looked at Alriana, "To wash all the dirt off."

Haruka had been laughing at the joke at Tavaryn's expene and had sobered when the need to report back became necessary. He said, "Well I guess I'll go on ahead and find the admiral since I'm one of the few that doesn't have a scratch." He then took off in a graceful gait.

Tavaryn scowled and said, "He's lucky I don't feel like doing anything remotely similar to dueling. I swear the idea of recommending him for fleet was brillant." The sarcasm was light on his tongue indicating that he didn't mean a word of it and began to follow at a slower pace.

He stopped by Alriana and offered the crook of his left elbow since it was not going to move anytime soon and it was polite to offer escort to a lady.

"That's a bit quick isn't it? All things considered, there's no way someone could have made from here to Coruscant in time to do that. Something's up."

"I would agree," Tonatius replied. "Perhaps it is a plot to further discredit the Jedi. I don't know. That was a stray thought."

Jun-la looked at the Admiral who looked like she had just been handed the Grand Admiral of the Empire already. She looked at the Twi'lek and then stood up to walk over to the Admiral. She stood by her to look as if they were discussing their options and she said in a side whisper, "You have an advanced unit in mind don't you?"

"Excellent job Andros."

Andros felt the blood rush and was sure that he was blushing. His master had given similar praise the reaction was the same. He went back to work removing panels and replacing connectors and circuit boards. He said to Koral, "You have anything that can stand an amped up charge. A grade platinum type of wire connectors? I managed to boost the ampage for the main computer but I think I can give it more. I just need to replace the old with new. Otherwise you'll have blown fuses all over the place."

Belina nodded her head and continued smiling. "As a matter of fact I do. I'm thinking that Alpha team might be the best unit to accompany me when we go to capture the Grand Admiral. Admiral Garja is going to be left in command when we leave on this mission."

Koral paused for a moment and then shrugged his shoulders. "I'm only the science officer, you might want to speak to Admiral Belina about that." A sudden thought came to his mind. "If Admiral Belina allows it...perhaps you could be put in charge of upgrading the Ackbar's computer system. I'm sure that the Admiral would be glad to put you in charge of it."

Alriana smiled as Tavaryn offered her the crook of his elbow. That was one of the things that she liked about Tavaryn. He was such a gentleman. She gladly took the offered arm and began walking.

"Tavaryn...there's something I need to ask you once we get back onboard the Ackbar. But first I think I should ask you about Alpha team. How many of your men survived the battle?"

Tavaryn felt the blood rush to his head. How did she know? He knew that the existence of Alpha team was the biggest kept secret that Belina had. He certainly never old anyone and he knew that his men wouldn't either. How Alriana knew was something that made him wonder if somethig slipped. He tried to avoid it. "What do you mean? I am just a combat instructor?"

"As a matter of fact I do. I'm thinking that Alpha team might be the best unit to accompany me when we go to capture the Grand Admiral. Admiral Garja is going to be left in command when we leave on this mission."

Jun-la replied, "I see. So they are the famous unit that supposedly retook a commandeered vessel. I am guessing that the helmets do the talking." She had seen the team before just before they were sent off on a mission. No one could see who they were through the helmets and many people speculated who were the brave men who took on the job. "So we give him the deal?"

"I see. So they are the famous unit that supposedly retook a commandeered vessel. I am guessing that the helmets do the talking."

"Yes they are. They're the number one special tactical unit that we have onboard the Ackbar. I have the utmost faith that they can get the job done. Now that I think about it...I might recruit jedi Alriana for this mission as well. I've seen her in action before and I think she could prove to be a capable fighter."

"So we give him the deal?"

Belina looked over at the Twi'lek and then looked back at Jun-la. "Yes...this information is important and if he is telling the truth he will be relased and his family will be relocated, but if he is lying...I think I'll let Xeran deal with him. Unless you want to deal with him."

Avalon

"What do you mean? I am just a combat instructor?"

"Relax Tavaryn, only two people know about the existance of Alpha team. Admiral Belina and I are the only ones. Admiral Belina accidently let the name slip during a meeting and I did some research and eventually found out what it was. And the Admiral told me that if I told anyone else I would most likely be thrown in the brig for a few weeks. I know that she was serious."

Tavaryn cleared his throat. He couldn't help but wonder if Belina let that comment slip on purpose. He voiced his thoughts, "I'm sure that she wanted you to know about the ones that are said to have single handely retake a commandeered vessel." He quoted what the HoloNet spoke of on the very first mission that he did a Alpha leader. His voice carried no jest in it but rather uncertainty. After all he had been keeping secrets from the one person that meant more to him than anything.

He looked at her face as they walked back to the Keep. "I'm sorry for not saying anything." He chewed his bottom lip and prayed to anyone listening that he hadn't hurt her again.

"If your information is as accurate as you say, we will provide safety for you family. Understand?"

the Twi'lek tried to hide a smile but failed as he nodded. "If this information is wrong, then you can lock me in your brig for as long as you wish." The Twi'lek looked up at the door as a sharp knock echoed through the room. "If the information is wrong then I'll be the one taking you to the brig!" Xeran shouted from outside the door.

Belina rolled her eyes and slammed on the door. "Xeran, go to the bridge! Your in charge of security until jedi Alriana gets back aboard."

She shook her head and smiled sheepishly at Jun-La. "Xeran may be a bit crazy but he knows when to be serious.

"I'm sorry for not saying anything."

"It really doesn't bother me that you couldn't tell me about Alpha Team Tavaryn." She said with a smile as they headed for the point where the wounded were being transported to the Ackbar and a few of the other ships in oribit. "You had to keep the secret because you were ordered to. I know that if had been up to you you would have told me. I don't hold any anger towards you."

Admiral Garja limped towards the site where the republic was collecting their wounded. He knew for a fact that one of his arms was broken and at least three of his ribs were broken. He had been on his way to meet up with the rest of the republic forces when he had been ambushed by two enemy troopers. After a short but brutal battle he had managed to kill the two trooeprs but had been badly injured. He was using a stick that he had found on the floor to keep upright.

Just a little further...he thought.

"If someone was already sent to Coruscant, Governor Starlighter would know. I'm forwarding a transcript to her, as well as to the Jedi Council." Kalla explained. "There's little else we can do here. We'll have return to Coruscant if we want to get to the bottom of this."

Kalla then reconfigured the relay for a local transmission, and asked the governor, "Do you know anything about this?"

"You had to keep the secret because you were ordered to. I know that if had been up to you you would have told me. I don't hold any anger towards you."

Tavaryn gave a slight swallow, still surprised that there was at least someone who didn't try to berate him for his secrecy. He replied, "If I had known you were on the Ackbar when the team was created, I would have gone to great lengths to stay away. Then again I would have gone to any lengths to make sure that you were happy." He then gave her a chaste kiss on her temple.

He then cleared his throat and said, "As far as Alpha Team goes, I guess I might as well send the signal." With his good hand, he reached into a pouch on his belt and pulled out a device that looked like a comm unit. He keyed in a code and sent it. "Any who live know to rendezvous where my signal is at."

**********

Tariq had never been in a full scale battle like this before but as the LT's right hand man, he had seen things that most troopers would never see and that was all in part because of the unit he was assigned to. After the Ackbar, they went to surface to lend their skills to the Avalonians. Now they were scattered over the field and Tariq was about to comm the LT when he got a signal. He pulled out his device and recognized it. He strapped it to his wrist and followed it.

He happened to come across Admiral Garja. He said, "Admiral, sir." He raced to steady the admiral. "Are you alright sir?"

**********

Governor Starlighter was pleased that her family was alright after this battle but it was disheartening to see the constant brushes with death being brought to her door. The part of her that longed to pick up the sword again flared. She was her mother's daughter after all. She was also a woman and a mother and her heart went out to Andorra and it showed when she stroked the girl's shoulder.

After her brother started heading back she patted the wyvern to indicate that it could leave but she doubted that it would leave without saying good-bye to her friend. She went back to the main operations room of the keep and came across Kaltas' daughter and her promised one. The girl asked her about a transcript. She replied, "As far as I know, the Senator for our sovereignty has not taken any course of action. This noble I do not recognize. I think we should pat a visit to the archives in the Okasa district in Tyan-Yu. It should still be standing since the archives were built underground. You care to join me?"

Ackbar

Andros just grinned as he continued his work, "The admiral made a similar offer. I have much to learn still from my master."

**********

Xeran may be a bit crazy but he knows when to be serious.

Jun-la returned the grin, "I got that impression when he had the blade hidden up his sleeve when I went to arrest him. He thinks I didn't see it but I did." She winked and turned her attention to the Twi-lek, "We will consider your offer. For now you will remain our prisoner."

"The admiral made a similar offer. I have much to learn still from my master."

"I got that impression when he had the blade hidden up his sleeve when I went to arrest him. He thinks I didn't see it but I did."

"You'd be suprised at the number of weapons that he has hidden on him at all times. You probably missed the blaster pistol, the dart launcher and the the knives he has hidden in his boot."

"You also forgot the wrist launcher!" Xeran's voice came from the other side of the door.

Belina turned towards the door and hit it. "I told you to get to the bridge Xeran! Now get going before I throw you in the brig!"

She turned back to Jun-La and shook her head. "I swear...If he wasn't such a good fighter I would have had him commited to a medical facility years ago."

"We will consider your offer. For now you will remain our prisoner."

The Twi'lek smiled at the two of them. "I agree to your terms. Just remember that whatever troops he has with him will be highly trained."

Alriana smiled. "I'm always happy when I'm with you Tavaryn. If you would have left the Ackbar I would have gladly resigned and followed you."

"Are you alright sir?"

Garja grabbed onto the shoulder of Tariq and tried to steady himself. "Not really, I was ambushed by a few of the remaining enemy troops and I'm pretty sure my arm was broken and I think I have a few broken ribs. If you could escort me to the rendezvous point."

"I'm always happy when I'm with you Tavaryn. If you would have left the Ackbar I would have gladly resigned and followed you."

Tavaryn felt his heart constrict in a pleasant feeling. He knew that it was his love for her that was causing his feelings to surge out of control. Ever since he admitted it to her, he felt he could do anything. EVen though it made him uncomfortable he had to say it, "So you could chase away the horde of admirers away from me?" He kissed her forehead to show that he was teasing her at his expense.

"So am I going to like the little conversation you want to have once we're back on the Ackbar or am I going to have to run for cover?"

**********

"I'll gladly assist sir. If you come with me, Alpha team will be meeting up with Alpha One," Tariq replied. He then pulled out a medpack and handed to the admiral. "Here sir, that should help." He then checked his wrist device. "They're heading back to the ship we came on sir. Can you make it?"

Ackbar

"Well...I'm sure that she'll keep the offer open until you decide and even if you don't she'll probably keep hounding you until you accept."

"I swear...If he wasn't such a good fighter I would have had him commited to a medical facility years ago."

"Very well. However, Chief of State Lendralis only said it was an Avalonian noble. We didn't get any other details. I don't think there's enough to go on for us to find anything out here." Kalla pointed out. "I don't think anything short of meeting this so-called noble would actually help at this point. Tonatius thinks it's part of a plot to further discredit the Jedi; if you were there along with the Senator for this sector, we might be able to discredit and expose the impostor, provided the damage isn't already done."

"Then again she has an even match with my master. And she gets downright scary when she decides to be un-Jedi like."

Koral shuddered slightly. "That is one thing I hope I never have to see. A jedi acting un-jedi like. I imagine that that would be a frightning sight. I've seen Admiral Belina get mad, in fact on one occasion during a stay at a shipyard she got so angry that most of the bridge crew ran off the bridge. In fact only Admiral Garja stayed on the bridge with her."

"Better than being a merc,"

Belina actually shuddered. Xeran as a solder for hire, that was a frightning thought. "If Xeran even became a merc I really hope he'd work for the republic, I've seen him in action and I don't want to be on his bad side."

"Then tell us what kind of force he has surrounding him."

"I do not know the name of the unit he has guarding him but I do know of their reputation. They are said to be made up of the best solders in imperial space and are only called into action when the Grand Admiral needs them, they are like shadows, appearing only when the Grand Admiral calls for them and then vanishing once their job is done. I would advise extreme caution when going after the Grand Admiral."

"So am I going to like the little conversation you want to have once we're back on the Ackbar or am I going to have to run for cover?"

Alriana smiled again. "I think that you'll like it. But when we do have the conversation It needs to be done in private."

"They're heading back to the ship we came on sir. Can you make it?"

"I think that you'll like it. But when we do have the conversation It needs to be done in private."

Tavaryn blushed but covered by teasing her, "Oh I get it. I get a private execution for being careless during battle and almost dying. My kind of punishment."

"I would make sure they would never bother you again."

Tavaryn smiled even though she jarred his stiff arm a bit by grabbing his hand. It was worth it to see her smile. He then said, "You know there is an easier way to ward off the girls my family and nobles seem to sic on me." He smirked to tease her, "Of course I can't tell you all the details unless you agree to go through it."

They had come to the drop ship that they arrived in and Tavaryn looked round for signs of his team. The first to arrive was Scatty. He grinned, "Scatty, you would be the first, after getting into your usual scrapes first."

"Always sir."

One by one the members of Alpha Team wandered back per protocol. The medic of the team spotted Tavaryn's injuries and proceeded to look at them only to have Tavaryn skirt away. "Doc please."

"Orders sir. You know what she'll say."

Tavaryn groaned. The last time Alpha Team came back from a mission, he had to be put under house arrest to recuperate from injuries that went untreated until they reported back to the Ackbar. Belina assigned Doc to the team with orders to keep an eye on him and if he refused to inform her and she would deal with it and he wasn't going to like it. Tavaryn didn't want to test Belina's wrath since it was a known rumor that she could make grown men cry with the exception of Garja. "Fine, fine but I refuse your drastic measures for the record."

"Noted sir."

Tavaryn looked sheepishly at Ariana, "I'm a pain in the arse I know."

**********

Governor Starlighter nodded, "You have the name of the noble? The senator will handle the Senate for now. We need to know more about this unknown. Perhaps he is a betrayer, one who disgraced the family name and joined with the Empire."

"I agree milady," Tonatius replied, "There are plenty black names out there that bear grudges against our people... some with personal vendettas."

"Yes, like the one against my family. And I am sorry that your cousin is now a part of that as my daughter," Governor Starlighter replied looking sad.

"You gave her a home when no one else could. That is a debt we cannot repay," Tonatius replied. Turning to Kalla he said, "Now moi chroi I'll find out news on the roads so we can get to the bottom of this and maybe we can get back to Coruscant with minimal fuss."

**********

"I believe I can now. I need to get back up to the Ackbar as soon as possible to see if I can be of any assistance."

Tariq nodded and led him to the drop ship where the rest of his team was waiting with the Jedi advisor. He noticed that the LT was annoyed that Doc was poking and proding at an injury and grinned. The LT brought it on himself but it sure was fun to watch. He said, "Sir, Doc can take a look once we are on board. The rest of the team is here."

I've seen Admiral Belina get mad, in fact on one occasion during a stay at a shipyard she got so angry that most of the bridge crew ran off the bridge. In fact only Admiral Garja stayed on the bridge with her.

Andros gave a chuckle and said, "I heard that she can make grown men cry. I can't imagine what she did to my master's uncle if he crossed her and he's one of the bravest I know."

He finished replacing the necessary wiring and did a clean sweep of the systems. He then brought the systems back online and decrypted the main computer. The systems hummed to life with full force. "We have full power and then some. More than enough to make it to Coruscant and back in its current condition."

Jun-la nodded, "Any idea of the type of tactics they use besides the disappearing act?" She knew the Shinigami were good at what he was describing but they had a specific mandate...unless a few went rogue. She shuddered at the memory of her uncle and his early years. He may have barely toed the line but even he would say that he went rogue.

Because back when Admiral Belina was still a captain I heard that she made the previous Grand Admiral of the fleet burst into tears after he made a mistake concerning the crew roster. I have to admit, even thought she runs a tight ship there is no Admiral I would rather serve under."

"We have full power and then some. More than enough to make it to Coruscant and back in its current condition"

Koral took a quick look at the power levels and nodded in approval. "I have to admit, I'm impressed. The only other times I've seen the Ackbar at full power was after our last major refit and the power levels didn't stay at full power for long."

"Any idea of the type of tactics they use besides the disappearing act?"

The Twi'lek shook his head and then stopped for a moment as a sudden thought came to mind. "There is...one other thing. I didn't mention it earlier because it is only a rumor but I think you should know."

The Twi'lek took a deep breath.

"There are rumors that some of the solders of this unit are trained in the ways of the dark jedi. No one knows if these rumors are true...but I have always been told that rumors have some basis in truth."

I didn't think that you were careless during the battle, and I have no intentions of executing you...for now. But I have thought about what I'm going to ask since I found out you were aboard the Ackbar.

"Just as long as it doesn't involve you hitting me. I bruise easily," Tavaryn grinned. He then let out a hiss as Doc examined the wound across his chest. He then rolled his eyes.

"I certainly don't think your a pain in the arse. But rest assured, sometimes the things you do drive me crazy."

"Glad to see that I haven't lost my touch though I am curious as to how I drive you crazy," Tavaryn replied. He then gave another hiss and jumped away from Doc. He then said, "Alright that's enough. I don't care if she puts me under house arrest again. Just stop it. I'm fine."

"Orders sir," Doc replied, having heard it before.

Tavaryn held a hand out, "Please. I'm fine and honest truth. Write you're report and I'll take the heat for it. I always do and she hasn't broken me yet."

Doc sighed. It was the usual every time the LT got so much as a papercut yet the Admiral had ordered him to "chase after him with the hypodermic" as she put it. He said, "Well everything looks fine and whoever removed what was in your shoulder did a good job."

Having thought he satisfied Doc, Tavaryn caught sight of Tariq with Admiral Garja. He walked towards the Admiral and asked, "Sir are you alright?"

"Have you seen aby of these trained in these ways?"

The Twi'lek shook his head. "I have never seen one trained in the ways of the force since I've met you but I have heard of your abilities and the lightsabers that your kind use. I have heard that the abilities of those trained in the force are formidable opponets."

"All in a day's work. Now I suspect that there are minor systems that need fixing like the bacta tanks in med bay?"

"That and the internal sensors on deck seven." Koral said as he looked through the repair reports that were appearing on his console. "It looks like those can be repaired within a few hours."

Alriana smiled and put her arms around his neck. "Well...for one thing you always seem eager to rush into combat situations."

"Sir are you alright?"

Garja couldn't help but smile at the sight of Alriana with her arms around Tavaryn. "Well...it appears that I missed something. But to answer your question...I should I be fine. A few broken bones won't kill me but Admiral Belina might if I don't get up to the Ackbar soon."

"Unfortunately we didn't even get that. But we'll get to the bottom of this." Kalla assured Governor Starlighter, before returning to her father. "We're ready to leave. Andorra and Lenatha won't be joining us, as they're leaving for their honeymoon on Aquilaris." She explained.

"After a wedding day like this, they deserve it." Komad commented. "With my marriage, it was the other way around." Iyav remarked, before changing his tone. "Was there any sign of Jareth after the battle?" He then asked.

"I'm afraid not. It's possible he was killed in action, we know at least two Echelon 5 operatives were killed after hijacking an AT-AT." Kalla suggested.

"No. If was dead, we'd know." Iyav plainly stated.

"Do you really want to be opening up old wounds? You left him with good reason, and you've got me now." Komad asked, a concerned look in his eyes.

"I suppose you're right. That's one thing I love about being a with a Jedi: you always seem to be able to talk me out of something I know I'll regret." Iyav answered, before giving Komad a light kiss on the lips.

"Rest assured, it doesn't involve hitting."

Tavaryn raised a brow. "Oh so it involves lightsabers then. No fair." He grinned enjoying teasing her.

"Well...for one thing you always seem eager to rush into combat situations."

Tavaryn used his good arm to wrap it around Alriana's waist, liking the feel of her arms around his neck. He smiled at her but his voice was sober, "Being Alpha Leader doesn't exactly allow you not rush into combat and I am never that eager. First rule of combat is that the oficer is always the first one out. Something I learned from hanging around the fleet."

Tariq had been watching with the rest of the men. He personally thought it a good thing that the LT was so happy.

"Well...it appears that I missed something. But to answer your question...I should I be fine. A few broken bones won't kill me but Admiral Belina might if I don't get up to the Ackbar soon."

Tavaryn, still holding Alriana, chuckled, "She'll kill me first for hiding from Doc, sir." Seeing that all his team was there he then said, "Everyone aboard then. Tariq, man the stick and alert the Ackbar that we are coming."

Tariq replied, "Aye sir," and disappeared into the ship. He went up to the cockpit and began warming up the systems. He then commed the Ackbar, "Wayfarer to Ackbar. This is Sgt Tariq. We are returning to the ship. Repeat, we are returning to the ship."

Tavaryn was the last to enter with Garja and Alriana. He managed to spare a glance at Haruka who was loading up his own ship and grinned. The boy turned out well. He showed Garja the med bay and said, "Feel free to use what you need sir."

Governor Starlighter nodded, "Do what you think is best. Komad Kaltas, Avalon thanks you for your help as well as you Iyav. Do what you can to find out about this threat. Now I must go see my daughter off on her trip." She gave a bow of appreciation and left.

Tonatius waited until the governor left before addressing Kalla, "Well moi chroi, shall I see about getting us a ship to Coruscant?"

Ackbar

It looks like those can be repaired within a few hours."

"If the Mandalorian tech is still on board, then yeah," Andros replied. He then noticed a blinking, "Koral transmission coming in. The Wayfarer."

I have heard that the abilities of those trained in the force are formidable opponets.

Jun-la went back to Belina and whispered, "I know Jedi Haltra is capabale but what about your special ops force? Do they have experience with Jedi techniques?"

"Koral transmission coming in. The Wayfarer."

Koral hit a few controls and the screen flickered once and then went dark. Koral muttered something under his breath and hit the console with his fist and the screen came to life."

"Putting the transmission onscreen." Koral said as the image of one of the troops on the surface appeared on the screen. "Wayfarer to Ackbar. This is Sgt Tariq. We are returning to the ship. Repeat, we are returning to the ship."

"Acknowledged Wayfarer." Koral answered. "Make sure you bring Admiral Garja back up the ship, I'm sure that Admiral Belina has questions for him about what happened on the surface after she left."

"I know Jedi Haltra is capabale but what about your special ops force? Do they have experience with Jedi techniques?"

Belina thought for a moment before responding. "I believe that some of the squad has experience but not all of them. Still I do trust the leader of the squad to do his best and that should be enough."

"Well...just promise me you'll be more careful when your fighting and take care not to get killed." Alriana said jokingly.

"She'll kill me first for hiding from Doc, sir."

Garja couldn't help but laugh and nod in agreement. "I don't doubt that. But she might show us a bit of mercy since we were in a combat situation."

"Feel free to use what you need sir."

Garja looked around the medbay and immediatly grabbed something to kill the pain he was feeling. "Don't mind me...I'll just be here for the ride back up to the Ackbar."

Jun-la nodded. "I'll defer to your judgement. They are your team after all." She gave a grin. "I think we should go and make plans before you cook up any more persuasion schemes for my pupil."

Andros felt relief that the Wayfarer was alright. He knew his master would be devastated should something happen to the owner of that ship. He was surprised that it was stationed on the Ackbar and wondered. Out loud he asked, "Koral, out of curiousity, did the Shinigami end up serving on the Ackbar?"

"Make sure you bring Admiral Garja back up the ship, I'm sure that Admiral Belina has questions for him about what happened on the surface after she left."

Tariq grinned. He replied, "The admiral is on board. ETA ten minutes." He then began easing the ship off the ground into order to head for the Ackbar. HE called over the comm, "Ladies and Jedi this is Sgt Tariq, I'll be your pilot this afternoon. Per request of the LT this ship has been designated a non smoking craft and for those of you enrolled in the Ackbar frequent flyer program you'll be earning a hundred credits and as always make sure your seats are in their upright and locked position."

Scatty had taken the co-pilot seat and was laughing. "Sarge, you sure know how to make a trip interesting."

Tariq grinned as he eased up and lifted off.

"Don't mind me...I'll just be here for the ride back up to the Ackbar."

Tavaryn replied, "Still sir. Use what you need."

Tavaryn then took Alriana by the hand to the security camera room. He explained, "One of my more favorite places to be when I want to get away from it all."

He knew she was worried for him and he heard it in her voice even though she jokingly told him to be careful. He pulled her close and said, "What you said earlier about being careful, I always am. For you." For the second time being daring, he gently kissed her on her lips, feeling their softness. His forehead touched hers as if he were nuzzling her.

"I'll defer to your judgement. They are your team after all."

"Feel free to add any ideas. This mission could be the one that ends the threat posed by the Imperials. If you have any ideas feel free to voice them."

"I think we should go and make plans before you cook up any more persuasion schemes for my pupil."

Belina couldn't help but laugh. "Don't worry, I'm going to guess that you and your pupil are needed elsewhere so I won't draft Andros. But I want you to know this: You and your pupil have both helped the crew of the Ackbar and that makes you an honorary part of the crew. If you ever find yourself needing a safe haven the Ackbar will always be open to you."

"Koral, out of curiousity, did the Shinigami end up serving on the Ackbar?"

Koral thought for a moment. "I'm not exactly sure. I heard rumors that there was one aboard but the rumors died shortly after they started. Why? Is there something that makes you think there is one aboard?"

Alriana couldn't help but shake her head. Some people it seemed could make jokes at any time, even when returning from a combat mission. still...she thought that it was a good thing that he could make a joke.

"What you said earlier about being careful, I always am. For you."

Alriana felt Tavaryn's lips on hers and she found herself returning the kiss. She gently broke the kiss and smiled at him. "I'm going to hold you to that." She said quietly as she pressed her lips against his again.

Jun-la smiled at teh admiral. She replied, "You have always been a fair woman Belina. Thank you for your offer and I accept. As much as it will pain me to stay away from my moi chroi longer than planned, if you will have me and my pupil, we will help you on this."

Jun-la then grinned in a joking manner, "Though I think a safe haven would be in better interest for a certain Jedi and a Shinigami." She knew for awhiel the feelings that were between her uncle and Alriana and she understood why they parted. She had a feeling that the two would meet again. The Force had a funny way of bringing people who should be together, together.

"I'm going to hold you to that."

Tavaryn accepted her kiss, gently feeling the softness. "I know you will and I wouldn't have it any other way."

He held her with his good arm, aware that he would eventually have to let Doc see to the stiffness in his left. Just as long as it didn't mean being stuck in a bacta tank. He tried to rotate his arm to work away the stiffness but only got pain for his trouble and he let out a low hiss. Aware that it could be taken the wrong way, he said, "Sorry. The arm's a bit stiff and sore."

He held her close, laying his head on top of hers, taking in the scent of her hair. HE spoke through their bond, I'm glad I found you again moi chroi.
