Negative Sun
Clicky Ok so we're used to reboots and remakes on TV and in Hollywood, but this is a whole other ballgame! I mean wtf? I seriously don't know what to make of this...I really like Jim Lee's work but his does have a tendency to disappear up his own backside. New costumes? Yellow spandex for all!!! And on a totally different note: Belgium v Turkey tomorrow, Astro will weep

Ctrl Alt Del
Bold. It's good for people like me who seldomly reads anything DC, we can start fresh without having to pick an infinite number of issues for backstory. Obviously, a good deal of people know Batman's parents were murdered when he was a kid and that Superman is an alien, but the nuances are much harder to grasp and this looks like a new chance to do so. It won't bring those not used to reading comics to the business but it'll, at least, draw those who do but keep away from their work.
Sabretooth
Awesome! I'd be interested to see how these new costumes and stuff are. It's about time they do a reboot, most superheros today have become outdated by decades (and in the case of Superman and Batman, almost a century). I just hope this is something innovative, and not something like that 'Ultimate Spider-Man' thing Marvel has. I'd have wished for brand new, pertinent superheros, but of course, that's not gonna sell.
Pho3nix
If I was a huge comic book fan I'd probably be pretty pissed off, but I haven't really followed any of the story lines and used to just buy random issues at the grocery store as a kid. Doesn't really bother me...
Miltiades
May be a good thing for me. I've always wanted to get into some superhero comic book series, but there's an overload of story arcs that most of the time feel and look outdated that I never did an effort to sort through it. The only things I've read are the Superman and Green Lantern Secret Origin arcs. Marvel's Ultimate series did the trick for me when I wanted get into the Spider-Man world. @Negative Sun: I'm feeling the tension. Woo, this could be the game. igyman
@Topic: While this could go either way - from cool remakes to utter crap, I do agree with Miltiades - it might just be the opportunity I've been waiting for to check out some of my childhood favorites in comic book form. @GTA: Not bad, but I'd prefer Justice League: Unlimited Unrated Hawkgirl X Poison Ivy X Wonder Woman X Zatanna
Liverandbacon
I don't really read comics (with a few exceptions, such as Ennis' run on the MAX imprint of Punisher). However, I heard from a friend that they made Superman give up his US citizenship. Seriously, that's only slightly less implausible than Captain America giving up US citizenship. I won't argue against a reboot if it eliminates that silliness.

Liverandbacon
Superman's socialist agenda fits Europe better. Superman already tried being filthy EuroCommie: Apparently, it didn't end well.

I haven't actually read this comic, but apparently Batman is the child of two dissidents killed by the KGB for making anti-Superman pamphlets. He becomes a terrorist and blows himself up. Lex Luthor convinces Superman that he's been hurting the world by creating a communist utopia, and somehow becomes the benevolent ruler of the world for a few thousand years. And Earth is Krypton in the past. Basically, a whole lot of lolwut goes on.

Sabretooth
It really isn't so special, I quite mistakenly thought it would actually be pro-communist. Besides, the Superman would have been wearing the worker's uniform, or at the very least, a full-red costume.
