I've played through some of 1.2 on the public test server, got up to lv10 and have my Vanguard sitting on the fleet station.

There's a lot to say about the update and you'll find that the changes are very obvious for the most part. The absolute first thing I did was open up the UI editor and spent about an hour and a half tinkering with EVERYTHING. Of course, it doesn't end there, you'll end up tinkering with the UI periodically as you play to get it just right...

That said, this all depends on whether or not you're daunted by the UI customization options to begin with. It does seem pretty complex when you begin but you get the hang of it after a while.

The UI editor also has a few issues too. You can't align stuff with each other and you can't snap UI elements together. It can also get tedious at times when you realise that some elements aren't as customizable as you'd want them to be. One such element that gets in the way and doesn't seem to fit anywhere.

It'll take awhile but I'm sure a lot of folks will come up with some great custom UIs which we will be able to share with each other... I know I'm gonna share mine on here.

Anyway, I'll share some more at a later time and post up a screenshot of my custom UI which I just creates for the lulz.

I realize clicking armor and such into place and making wrestlers are two different things BUT is it comparable overall with create-a-wrestler of smackdown games?

I'm none too Happy about Valor and Battlemaster, that 63 Valor and 6 Pieces of BM gear I've slaved and raged to get was worthless... But the Crew skills is a small step in the right direction, I'd guess within the next year we'll have something that resembles an in game economy.

Economy...I like it now, I get to laugh a Lynk for being broke all the time, while I'm walking around with over a million credits. :xp:

I just can't wait for 1.2 when my smuggler can go traitor and send her step-sister agent some credits. The Agent is more like Lynk's trooper and always broke. :)

...what?

I knew this was going to be confusing...Sorry if I am clueless, bear with me...

The way you generally described the customization of TOR is how I'd describe smackdown's create a wrestler, seems complex at first but once you start using it, the feature gets to be a snap to use. I would say it also sounds like armored core's customization but I've never played it. >.>

I guess more specifically, does it have multi axial adjustment to sizes and shapes of objects that you customize? I.E. changing angles of a toroidal shape? Can you mix and match parts (like armor and outfits for example)?

You're gonna want to be really good friends with my Armourmech skilled Vanguard come 1.2 since your fashion (with bonus augment slots) revolves around how many awesome schematics I can get :xp:

Seem to remember something about being friends with your Sith having to do with my agent being broke. :xp:

I've not played any MMO's (re:WoW) other than SWTOR, but it is my understanding that this is how it works, as new tiers of gear are introduced the previous tiers become more easily accessible. So I wouldn't consider it surprising and I welcome the changes. Having just recently made it to Valor 65, it'll be nice to be able to gear up my alts for PVP in an easier manner than it was for my main.

This is How it works? lol, I dont pay a subscription to take one in the rear "cus thats how it is", (Sorry that pissed me off) But anyway, I've only played games where you craft your own gear, with certain implants and jewelry that are lootable/earned, I'm new to this type of gear setup
