I already have a group of my friends who are going to dress as Stormtroopers for the midnight premiere. We're going to re-use our Halloween costumes (we're going as the 501st Legion)

Don't judge us. We do that ourselves.

I'm a sucker for the 'big screen' experience. You can get that to a certain extent on a home theater setup, but you can't quite get that same "I feel like I'm right in the middle of it" sensation like you can in the theater. Plus, you get 200 other people oohing and aahing at the same time, which is fun. Then I'll get the DVD version after that. :)

I have that Friday off, I'm planning to go see it with my brother and possibly my step-father, if he has the day off, the day of release. I'll try to go earlier in the afternoon when the crowds aren't going to be as bad.

Well, I can actually do w/o the oohing and aahing...part of reason I'll wait a few weeks. Less crowded and hopefully less likely to miss dialogue as a result. But big movies like Star Wars better seen on big screen...even disappointments like Phantom Menace.

I have booked seats for the midnight showing. Yes it will be noisy. Yes it will be crowded. And yes I will see it again in a more quiet setting to absorb all the things I missed the first time around. And yes I will be tired at work the next day... but happy. :)

nah, if your willing to put up with odd looks, then a bathrobe and a flashlight is all you need
I've dressed up in full French Tudor renaissance costume before for an event, and then went out to dinner at a local restaurant. I'm good with funny looks. :D

The Darth Maul duel on the big screen was worth the rest of the movie.

It's possible that I saw one, maybe 25 years ago!? I have vague recollections of SW poster in front of the cinema and bunch of us, kids, waiting for it to start.

Next one? Possible in 5-10 years, you never know.
