edlib Posted March 11, 2002 Posted March 11, 2002 Impressive. Most impressive. After the announcement of the title, and then the last couple of trailers that seemed to focus more on the Anakin/ Padme love story, this was what I really needed to see to stir my enthusiasm in the whole Ep. II enterprise again.
BasiliskJC Posted March 11, 2002 Posted March 11, 2002 I drooled all over the place, but then again I always do that. COOOOOOOL!
Rogue15 Posted March 11, 2002 Posted March 11, 2002 http://starwars.apple.com/ep2/clone...ne_war_p640.mov right click and save as to get the big version (it doesn't require quicktime pro or money to watch it) darnit they took it down!!!! hmmm...should i upload it to my angelfire account?
K_Kinnison Posted March 11, 2002 Posted March 11, 2002 It was nice to see more of a star wars story instead of a love story ANd i would liek to see Lucas able to pull ff a convincing love story. Tho the eye candy was amazing, special effects galore And to see Anakin (i bleive) fighting with 2 lightsabers was AWSOME, that is what really got me excitied. I noticed he was using a Escrima stlye (phillipino stick fighting) in his fighting i wonder how detailed the technique gets in the movie also Obi-wan's little interuption during a holomessage very kewl as far i can tell, there is the Chase sceen ithe asteroids where obi-wans says "I hate flying" and the big battle of battledriods verse Stromtroopers I lvoe the end scene tho, with the Circle of Jedi, getting surrounded by creatures now i want to see the movie, i jsut hope it is better then the other one
Jem Posted March 11, 2002 Posted March 11, 2002 I just hope it won't suck like it's title. attack of the clones...pffffffff... I still can't accept it. And I hope it won't have another Jar-Jar type fiasco (Man it would be so cool if he got killed in a horrible, horriful, horrid, awful, painful, tormenting, agonizing, dreadful, ugly, ghastly, foul way in the very beginning of this episode)
Nute Gunray Posted March 11, 2002 Posted March 11, 2002 geez, get over it already. The title isn't bad compared to all the other titles. THE PHANTOM MENACE, ATTACK OF THE CLONES, (UNKNOWN), A NEW HOPE, THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, RETURN OF THE JEDI. they ALL SOUND LIKE CRAP. btw, the ONLY thing i ever liked about Voyager was those "Captain Proton" things that Paris did, because it was a nice tribute to early scifi (which had titles like "Emperor Lusifer Saytin Strikes back" or "Return of Space Ranger Dirk" that are remarkably similar to SW titles....)
Cmdr. Cracken Posted March 11, 2002 Posted March 11, 2002 I'm like the only star wars fan NOT to see that trailer.... ERM!!!!! I LOST!!!!
GUNNER Posted March 12, 2002 Posted March 12, 2002 I thought it was great... Only 2 more months.. Are we all going to see it together this year? We can meet some where in the middle, say Minnisota.....
Taarkin Posted March 12, 2002 Posted March 12, 2002 I thought it was good too, except it had some lame lines and no new music.
Cmdr. Cracken Posted March 12, 2002 Posted March 12, 2002 I finally saw it, it was Good, and i dunno, Gun-man, that'd take more $$ than i got, and time i don't have. Maybe episode 3....
Zargon Posted March 12, 2002 Posted March 12, 2002 hmph, I haven't seen a single trailer yet...................

edlib Posted March 12, 2002 Author Posted March 12, 2002 Originally posted by Taarkin I thought it was good too, except it had some lame lines and no new music. The trailers rarely use new music. The score is almost the last thing to be done in a movie, after the final edit is laid down, so it's possible that it's not even recorded yet. As for the lines... well, let's just hope these ones they used aren't the best, and GL is saving some surprises.
Zargon Posted March 12, 2002 Posted March 12, 2002 I just saw the newest one, eh........the cgi and the people arent always melded well.....................we'll see............
Nute Gunray Posted March 12, 2002 Posted March 12, 2002 At least the trailers used STAR WARS music. You'd be surprised how many trailers use music from StarGate and Independence Day. Particularly Mastadge Drag from Stargate and Darkest Day from ID4.
JR2000Z Posted March 12, 2002 Posted March 12, 2002 Or using music from Gladiator for the Chicken Run trailer. But that was different...
BasiliskJC Posted March 12, 2002 Posted March 12, 2002 Originally posted by Taarkin I thought it was good too, except it had some lame lines and no new music. They can't give away the best part.
Redwing Posted March 13, 2002 Posted March 13, 2002 I agree with Nute about the titles. I saw the trailer of course it was totally awesome...well some of the dialogue was spoken a tad awkwardly...maybe it'll look better in context. The Obi Wan holo scene was excellent however along with most everything else. SIDE NOTE: Slave One fired a seeker missile, which pretty much definitively blows away everyone's arguments about guided missiles like ours not existing in SW. (I remember those old, old arguments...)
Nute Gunray Posted March 14, 2002 Posted March 14, 2002 Why would an unguided torpedo need a targetting computer to provide it with a target lock and a course if it was unguided?
BasiliskJC Posted March 14, 2002 Posted March 14, 2002 I'VE NEVER BEEN MORE EXCITED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!
Redwing Posted March 16, 2002 Posted March 16, 2002 Originally posted by Zargon in XWA missles seeked just fine............ Yeah, but there were arguments that that was unrealistic to Star Wars. *smirks*
