CrixKenobi Posted June 25, 2002 Posted June 25, 2002 well, i saw this move several times but no one could say me how i hope some of u fellows know this move and explain it to me :ls:duel:
leXX Posted June 25, 2002 Posted June 25, 2002 ok... it is a blue stance special move and it is a 1 hit kill. It's just back and attack when someone is behind you. You can do this in all stances, the yellow and red will produce a backsweep. I would recommend you read the trusty manual!!! It makes damn fine reading.
BerlinStyle Posted June 25, 2002 Posted June 25, 2002 i know this. but there is another variant of this. like the normal backstab in red or yellow style. (has nothing to do with the blue one) just with both hands on the saber
Dea Posted June 25, 2002 Posted June 25, 2002 are you sure it isn't just someon in blue style spinning around manually?
BerlinStyle Posted June 25, 2002 Posted June 25, 2002 yes i am. it was a slowly move. like the normal backstab... buts not the normal backstab
leXX Posted June 25, 2002 Posted June 25, 2002 I think I know what you're talking about. If you strafe left then back then right (or vice versa) while attacking, you will do a turn that produces a slow sweep. Pretty simple really, just turn the way the saber is going!
thehomicidalegg Posted June 25, 2002 Posted June 25, 2002 that move isnt that good...same damage as normal but leaves you open far too long, especially with your back turned.
Dea Posted June 25, 2002 Posted June 25, 2002 it actually does more then normal, and is quite usefull as a dodge/strike move. I actually halved quite a few opponents using that.
leXX Posted June 26, 2002 Posted June 26, 2002 I don't think I have ever actually hit someone with it, you can see it coming a mile off!
Lionen Posted June 26, 2002 Posted June 26, 2002 I killed Desann with that move once. I just went on and striked a few times and he died. Piece of cake.. i thought, and tried again and failed.
leXX Posted June 26, 2002 Posted June 26, 2002 Correction - killed at least 5 people using it tonight!
Dea Posted June 26, 2002 Posted June 26, 2002 Originally posted by lexx I don't think I have ever actually hit someone with it, you can see it coming a mile off! well duh, you don't use it when your opponent is a mile off
Rad Blackrose Posted June 26, 2002 Posted June 26, 2002 The 2 handed backsweep is a pain in the ass to pull off because it is in fact a ducking backsweep. You see it more often because everyone has it scripted. And I also know how to script it without throwing in all those wait commands, but then again I would only use it for show. I can get by with one handed backsweeps, thank you very much.
jmcdavel Posted June 26, 2002 Posted June 26, 2002 I like the variant of the yellow/red backsweep where you do a quick snap with your saber instead of going all the way around personally. Haven't gotten it down to a science yet unfortunately.
Bluezman Posted June 26, 2002 Posted June 26, 2002 Actually these 360°-Moves are quite useful. I do them in red or yellow stance by starting a horizontal swing with right+attack, then go into a combo with down+right+attack. I don't think that you can always see them a mile off. If you close in on your opponent say with a horizontal left to right swing and he sidesteps and passes you on your left, do the above combo and BOOM, he'll get the saber in the face when he doesn't expect it.
leXX Posted June 26, 2002 Posted June 26, 2002 Correction - killed at least 5 people using it tonight! Did you all miss this????

Yep you are right, if you execute a backsweep while crounched it is done with both hands on the saber. I wonder if the damage or break-through (will it out backsweep the normal one handed move) potential is different.
Yoda_623 Posted June 27, 2002 Posted June 27, 2002 A crouch bs is more powerful than a regular bs. But it is a lot slower as you have probably noticed.
AnArKey Posted June 27, 2002 Posted June 27, 2002 Yeah I did notice it is slower. I usually turn around as I BS anyway, so the speed makes it even easier to connect quickly. It seems to last longer as well. I found myself surprised by a few kills I got when a normal BS would have been over.
Twins of Doom Posted June 27, 2002 Posted June 27, 2002 i like spinning, it works pretty good when you are close just watch out though because there is a large area where you can easily be hurt:rolleyes: and lexx...stop insulting the ewoks, they are cool:) if you want though i could pull your teddy bear arms out:)
Ken Kasanagi Posted June 28, 2002 Posted June 28, 2002 that move is kinda useful in yellow stance, coz' the saber is doing damage during the spin, even b4 you swung it, so it dont matter if it is slow or not
