BCanr2d2
I have plenty of them Top Gun, All Star Wars movies, T2, The Matrix, Pulp Fiction amongst a few of them.. Might add Apocolypse Now Redux once I get that on DVD - adding almost 50 minutes to the movie will make it a long session......
Jah Warrior
Hello everyone, How you doing there? I aint posted in the swamp much and its about time i did! Its an obvious thread I know, just post your fave non-starwars films here. I'll set the ball rolling :- Fresh A film starring Samuel L Jackson, about a street kid that uses stategies in part from the game of chess taught to him by his dad (S.L.Jackson) to help get his sister away from her Drug-Dealer boyfriend amongst other things... Its a great film and all the actors put in fine performances and it gives the message that no matter how nasty things get there is always a spark of hope. If you get the chance to watch it do so its a belter of a film.

SkinWalker
Hoooo! I'm with Lexx on this one.... I love so many films. But I was just talking to someone today about a movie that I thought was great because of the storyline: Falling Down with Micheal Douglass Casablanca was a classic as well.... if I were trapped on a deserted Island with a tv and vcr.... that might be the one I'd want. Jubatus
Gonna twist it a bit and list the movies that made the biggest impressions on me, when I watched them for the first time (not counting SW - ANH as Jah asked beyond that): Ghostbusters - still my favourite movie today, it's become an integral part of my being. Bill Murray ruleth! Legend - a fairy tale with a great atmosphere, and my fist encounter with Tim Curry. Se7en - set a new standard for grimness, and excellent climax scene with great performance by Pitt. Matrix - the concept was not novel to me, but seing it so splendidly adapted to the cinema was a rush. 'I want my phone call.'....you sure? Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring - having read the books the story was no surprise but Peter Jackson did a marvellous job. Had my greatest expectations to how he pulled of the Balrog and he did it spectacularly! Shadow and Flame! Now, the comment to each movie is by my personal experience so please, no need to reply to this with knowledge of for example an older cult movie setting standards of grimness before Se7en.
