Psynex
Eldritch, I don't use any other messenger other then ICQ. I replied to your message, but just to be sure you get my message I'll post here too. You can get that sheen effect you're looking for by using an environment map shader on the couch. Eldritch
I'm creating a lot of furniture and other details to fill the areas I've already done. I'm almost finished with that, and then it will be on to the next section of the castle - probably the Great Hall, since most of it is laid out. Psynex
I hate to go off topic, but I have to bring up something that's itching me under my skin; How have a large number of people in here been able to get their name in lights AND have banners AND get a custom avatar title when some of them are still down in the bantha fodder regions? Is everyone here hacking those features? I've been posting almost every day and still am not even close to anything like that!
wedge2211
Ack, stop the post hijacking! To answer the quesiton just so it's done with...I think they're all moochers. Eldritch
A lot of them go to the Father Torque Foundation in the Swamp. Many people go there just to find people to donate points to. If you go there and post nicely, asking for points they'll give you some. They've donated thousands of points already.
Kengo
That is some avatar man! Don't the points have to be for a good cause or something? Hmm, suddenly I can't think of any reason I need them.
Chewie Bakker
Any update on the map there, Aru-Wen/Eldritch? The Force will be with you, always.
Eldritch
Yes, work on the map had slowed considerably for awhile, but I'm back to work on a new section. New screenshots should be up soon. I've also realized the map is going to hit the brush limit, so I'm going to have to split it into at least 2 maps, which will be the upper and lower levels of Hogwarts. Shadriss
There IS an actual brush limit? Wow... Guess we learn something everyday. BTW - I need you to log onto MSN soon...
Eldritch
Yep. It's 32,000. And with the amount of detail I've put in... well, it just has to be split. There's no way around it, unfortunately.

Captian
Dad*Mad's team is trying to make a mod that removes the brush limit, if he suceedes use that mod
Eldritch
Earlier in this thread I stated that I would not mod this map just so that it could be played. I want to keep it accessible to everyone, including those that may not want to mod their version of JO (like me). I might do a modded version in the future that would implement wudan's swinging doors code, though. If Dad*Mad's team breaks the brush limit barrier (which I doubt is possible), then I might consider using it.
Andy867
Don't forget though Eldritch that DAD*MAD is also the one who made something that not even Raven thought was possible in Jedi Outcast... Snow. So, who knows. I mean fans like DEST, DAD*MAD, Tchoucky are the ones who keep pushing the envelope to see what can be done on this engine that wasn't there in the OOBE (Out of Box Experience for those wondering)
nucular_jedi_14
when this is done I bet this map will be huge. P.S., is there a way that you could make the doors open by like swinging on hinges?

Eldritch
Wow, triple post. Yes, there is a way that I could implement swinging doors (like on hinges), but it'd have to be run as a mod.
