Hellfire Jedi Posted November 3, 2002 Posted November 3, 2002 Since this IS a mmorg what does it cost a month? Shouldnt have that considering the price
Thew Rydur Posted November 4, 2002 Posted November 4, 2002 Well no one knows the exact price yet, but it will probably be anywheres from $10-$15. My guess is $12.95. By the way in your sig is that sniperwolf from Tribes 2?
Ulic Quel Droma Posted November 4, 2002 Posted November 4, 2002 What im wondering is if the price is lets say, $10, is that $10 U.S? if so will i have to pay $20 dollars NZ? (im in New Zealand)
Duvan Posted November 4, 2002 Posted November 4, 2002 As was said, the price will likely be $12.95 US, this means whatever it that works out to in the currency you use, for example, i am Canadian so it works out to about $20 a month for me.
Wraith 8 Posted November 4, 2002 Posted November 4, 2002 like the others said... 10 to 15 $ its the same for me in euro's. if you want to know why we pay to play... follow this link! and read the article. its very true
Hekx Posted November 8, 2002 Posted November 8, 2002 Anyone know a random estimate of the overall monthly cost in British pounds it will be?
Hekx Posted November 10, 2002 Posted November 10, 2002 Originally posted by Kiedo I would guess something like £6 or £8 Okay thanks I think'll wait to see if anyone I know gets it first, and see what it's like then before getting it
JediMasterEd Posted November 10, 2002 Posted November 10, 2002 Why does companies require a payment just to play on-line anyway? I see no point to it other than to bring in more profit.
Hellfire Jedi Posted November 10, 2002 Author Posted November 10, 2002 Exactly the point! Otherwise for ripping people that want the game (Younger Players) if they want it and cant pay see where im going with this right?
JediMasterEd Posted November 10, 2002 Posted November 10, 2002 They're trying to get rid of younger players. ...That means...I can't play the game...a game I was hoping to get. Geez.
Trahern Valley Posted November 11, 2002 Posted November 11, 2002 Er...there's a link up above, that explains why we pay monthly to play a game that is constantly being tech-supported and revised and updated and patched and expansion-packed and so on and so forth... And if EQ is anything to go by, the only thing that stops children from playing is uncooperative parents. Either they won't pay monthly to play a game, or they'll be too busy playing it to let their offspring have a go. The latter is more likely when it comes to this game, I imagine...
Wraith 8 Posted November 11, 2002 Posted November 11, 2002 ill post the link again... Do you want to know why we pay to play....follow the link bellow and find out. http://www.swgalaxies.net/articles/article.php3?article_id=5 its worth it tho
YoDa2k2 Posted November 11, 2002 Posted November 11, 2002 i perfectly understand the monthly fee thing, there doesnt seem to be any MMORPGs that dont have a monthly fee of some sort.
Kiedo Posted November 11, 2002 Posted November 11, 2002 Don't have to pay for Runescape, but the graphics are all crappy Runescape Edit: This is my first post of Pit Droidness

Yeah... but there are still people who dont see that at all. And Kiedo : Congratulations
Ascari Posted November 12, 2002 Posted November 12, 2002 I used to dislike the monthly fee system as well. (Yes Wraith, I understand why it's needed ) But now that I found a job that pays well, it's a simple question whether or not I want to work 2 hours a month to play SW:G And that answer would be a simple: HELL YEAH!

swediot=) Posted November 23, 2002 Posted November 23, 2002 why the hell would they try to stop the younger generation from playing i thaught computergames were for kids since when was it for people in theyre say forties my dad doesnt play video/computergames and he hates me playing games he is convinced im gonna go blind but he is the one who needs to waer glasses not me sorry abit off topic but you see where im comming from why would they try to stop the younger generation from playing when they probably make the most moeny off them any ways?
yo-wazza Posted November 23, 2002 Posted November 23, 2002 ok here is how I see it.... little kiddies will probably not even get how to play a big roleplaying liken this anyhow.... I say the youngest person would be like 10 years old max... And by this time u will get enugh pocket money a month to play.. or at least do a paper run 3 times a month to pay it off.... SO they aint cutting kids off from this game...... And anyways little kiddies and kids 10-15 normally like playing cs more cuz there aint as much thinking involved ... all the little kids will be about a game like this....
