00M-187 Posted November 4, 2002 Posted November 4, 2002 Has anyone seen the new AOTC DVD commercial, that says YODA DA MAN?? What in gods green earth was lucas thinking to release such a horrible commercial? Starwars is not funny, its not supposed to be. George Lucas is officially a crack head!

Think Jar Jar and C3P0 with a different head and any of the other retarded moments that are only funny to small children. If you haven't noticed Lucas has sold out the Star Wars series in exchange for a fast buck and a wad of toy sales to children. The original thre star wars were serious and just plain fantastic, these pieces of crap that have been put out suck. Think of the story lines..... Luke Finding his parents dead, seeking justice, finding fate -V- Little Anakin winning a race (Maul was in 10% of the movie) Vader crushing Luke and the Empire taken it to da bank -V- Litte N'sync look a like falling in love and whining (Anakin spent most of the time whining and flirting) Think poeple Lucas is just throwing in a little action to keep the old fans while watering it all down to score the kids. Thus we now have.... Who da Man? Yoda da Man!

But ya I've seen the commercial, and George lucas dosn't make the commercials. mabee you should check your sources oom-187. edit:episode 1 was a bit childish but 2 was much better. And I noticed your avatar is a G-force 4 video card...... I'll be getting a g-force 4 this week, Thursday to be exact. $159.00
obi Posted November 4, 2002 Posted November 4, 2002 I seen the ad the other day, and it sort of made me chuckle when yoda was absorbing the lightening in his hand form Dooku, but they replaced it with the AOTC DVD cover.

And yes, the time gap between the episodes definately affected the outcome of the movies IMO. Hopefully Ep3 is a little better, as it is forced to tie in with the story line of the others or else it will just be a big story mess up like Monkey Island 3 and 4.

My thinking is who cares what the commercial is like, just as long as the movie is still coming out a week from Tuesday!! I can't wait to watch it on my new home theater system!!!

If u think, in ROTJ, the saber battle between vader and luke wasn't that good. All luke does is swing his saber left to right and vader only uses one hand. And now look at episode 1 duel. One word to describe it-INCREDIBLE.

It was something so that he can sell the DVD. I think that the new Movies that have just started to be made after so long have to appeal to kids. Back when A New Hope came out where there a lot of kid movies? I don't really think so. Gl is just getting into the times and is making it something kids will want to get. Kid's now a day's are the ones deciding what their parent's are going to buy for them. Just my $0.02

Im thinking, "Hmm..yoda is gonna do something...maybe he'll grab dooku with the force and throw him around...." My god...what was Lucas thinking? No..what is he thinking?! Yoda starts yelling and screaming; jumping around more frantic than a drug addict. Im just sitting there saying "wtf". The people around me are laughing..thinking star wars is a stupid little cheesy movie...I'm just getting angrier by the second... The Truthful Liar Posted November 5, 2002 Posted November 5, 2002 We can hope that Epi 3 will create a darker feel and add more character depth than the prior 1 and 2 episodes. I miss how 4,5,6 were created, it wasn't the pure saber battling that gave most interest; it was the storyline and revealing talks between two jedi during fights.
