What do you think will be the number one movie (in America) this weekend? Or this month, year, etc? This weekend I think The Ring will either stay at number 2 or go up to number 1. The Ring was a great movie and more and more people are going to see. I'm going to see it again for the second time :D

let's see:

-The Two Towers for which nerds will flock

-James Bond for everybody with tostestorones (hope I spelled that correctly)

-StarTrek for every other nerds

-8 Miles for all the wanna be thugs out there

-Harry Potter for kids and adults.

I'm not really sure. I just know people will be more poor and Hollywood more rich

You'd be surprised, actually, about the audience for Lord Of The Rings. For example, I took my mother to see it...as a 60th birthday present.

And there were a lot of other older people sitting in the theatre too. You have to remember that The Lord Of The Rings books were released nearly 50 years ago...and a lot of the younger generation who read the books way back then...want to see the films now. So it appeals to a wider (and potentially larger) audience. :)

The other problem with this Harry Potter is that it's meant for slightly older children. I was hoping to take my son to see it (he enjoyed the first one)...but he's only 5 and they're recommending 8 years and above... :(

I think TTT will come out on top...but only just. ;)

You do realize there are about 5X the amount of LOTR book readers than Potter Readers? The thing is, alot of book readers that read books like LOTR wont spend money to see a movie.
