i think ppl should be patient or not get hyped up about this remember it took 6 years or so to get Jk2 to come but in case they do make jk3 or an expansion pack the features it should have are

* Weapons which fo not have the wrong purpose e.g the trip mine was supposed to be a mine that shot blaster bolts (info from a star wars book)

* A proper Movie like script

* better AI

* No Loading Screens (like dungeon siege)

* Many more weapons

* the battle to end all battles

* movie like saber fighting

* unique stances for each jedi characters

* Many Multiplayer models even if they are not in the game

* Better Game Engine

I do hope there is atleast an add-on for Outcast. If there is another Dark Forces game, I am just wondering if the Vong is going to appear... not sure how I really feel about that, since I haven't really been too fond of their appearances in the books thus far. Also it may be time to introduce a new character to the Dark Forces saga, Kyle is getting a bit old isn't he? While I do enjoy Kyle and his adventures, sometimes young blood needs to take over. I really loved the multiplayer in Jedi Knight, for some reason I'm not so taken with the multiplayer in Outcast, I have been playing Jedi Knight multiplayer for a long time, but Outcast I'm just not as motivated about for some reason.

of course...cause this makes all kinds of sense

1. just because a weapon was mentioned in a book doesnt mean they cant be imaginative

2. movie like script...right, why dont we make a game that isnt action filled, but more talking...hell, lets make a game like the thin red line, something that can truly capture ****...games are meant to have action...

3. Better AI...you know, if stormtroopers were crack, what wouldve really happened when they went to the detention block to rescue lea

3. like dungeon siege...right, cause that game has all kinds of good graphics

4. for more weapons, you would need a game that isnt JEDI oriented...unless you plan on completly disregarding the lightsaber

5. battle to end all battles...cause thats what people want, starwars to come to an end

6. how realistic could you possibibly make lightsaber fighting with 4 movement keys and a mouse...they did a great job in this game, and it should be good enough to hold you over until they get full virtual reality

7. what would you rather have, unique stances for each jedi, which would take a long time, and would be pointless if you plan to do it with a mouse (everything would duplicate somewhere) and if you need the better saber combat, then VR is the way to go, until now, download jedi +

8. once again, dont feel betrayed by raven if you have to go online for a good 5 minutes to download 50 models that you can use...if nobody else can see it, sucks for them, you shouldnt care

as you see...shut up forever...

Apart from general gameplay issues, which artifex is fixing with promod, the only thing I'd really like to see is more stances and more force powers. Imagine having 10 stances altogether. Obviously scrolling through them would be a knightmare but I'm sure someone clever would figure something out. If we ever get the animations I can see this happeneing.

what they need in terms of stances is similar what they do with force powers...3 stances allowed, a certin skill level put into each, but you can put a lot of work into more power...servers would be able to regulate how much you can put into each stance (instead of just attack and defend) and you would be able to match up "this stance is a lot better for me when i try to kill this stance, ill stay with this one". Plus, people would only be able to change stances every *(server regulated)* amount of time to avoid people that would single out one type of stance with one of their own.

another problem would be having to show what stance they were using (basic info). You cant have just the 3 movement spots like normal, you would need something significant, something that you could tell what they were using so you can plan. But if you got that, then stances would be perfect.

Games need to strike a perfect balance between simplicity and interaction. Having ten saber stances is ridiculous! Scrolling through them is bad enough, but learning how each individual one works will be a tiresome drag. Imagine how bad it would be for the developers to create 10 different sets of saber animation?

It's fine left at three, it's easy to get into and offers enough variation.

Anothony Piggot are you the creator of BOAM for MOts?

Now i have to disagree with saber combat because the MOVIES ARE, YOU GUESSED IT COREOGRAPHED.

The combat is good enough, every direction, and different variations, their is a fineline with complexity, and simplicity, and complex with different stancesm yet simple in their uses, not overcrowding.

The expansion, should just maybe upgrade the saber and collsion system, and create not different stances, but different fighting styles for saber weilders.

Whats more, the way the game was set, is to make passing missions easier when you become a jedi wannabe again, just using guns in the first 4 stages compared to the saber was difficult enough. The only thing i would say about the weapons is that they should be truely unique or just look in the star wars weapon index next time

Yeah I realise it would take ages to code and scroll through them all. But just think how kool it would be!!! Everyone could be that little bit more unique. On the subject of force powers, more more more, I like variation and stuff which keep me on my toes, more stuff = more fun (although not too much stuff otherwise it gets confusing)
