I gots a cable connection in my apt, I couldn't go back to 56k after living in the dorms w/ a T1 backbone to connect to....THAT was nice...especially during holidays (Thanksgiving/Xmas) when everyone goes home (my parents are literally 30 mins away from me) and I had more bandwidth than I could shake a stick at...once hit 600k/sec on Napster (yes, that was back when it was still free)....used that puppy to download a 15-minute version of Inna Gadda Devita(sp?)
