I tried it and it worked! It worked when i acctually thought about it but then i just stared at the number and didnt do the math and it failed but wow that is strange!

It's very clever... I'm quite impressed

 

Look at the pattern of symbols in the grid (which changes), and then do a few test calculations for each 'pattern'... You should be able to see how and why it works

alright, i'll tell you all

 

we start with this picture:

now we will pic a number, lets say 99, 99 minus 9 minus 9= 81, and look, a cross.

now we pic another number, lets say 34, 34 minus 3 minus 4=27, and look, a cross.

 

now, you can do it with ANY number, but you will always end up with a number with a cross, or, with this picture, a number with a

Of course! That's why when you refresh to try it again, the pictures on the table all change, so you don't get the same outcome again (well, you do get the same, but they change it so you think you don't;)).

notice that everytime you play it, it gives different signs for each number.

 

 

but the thing is what ever 2 digit number you use, you'll always get the numbers:

 

81

72

63

54

45

36

27

18

9

0

 

and all those numbers have the same signs.

 

so no matter what 2 digits you use you'll end with any number from that list that i gave you and all have the same signs.

it had me going in the begining but i notice the sign changes everytime you try again.

 

so i just looked for the numbers that was consistent with the signs and figured it out.

You're not the only one leXX. I couldn't even begin to guess at how they did it. I was about to say 'Yep, I guess they can read my mind...'

 

Sometimes I just like the mystery of it, not knowing how it's done. I'm not stupid; I'm just impressed easily;)

I was very impressed the first time.......but then I did notice that the signs changed somewhat.

 

Still pretty cool!
