Matt-Liell Posted January 3, 2003 Posted January 3, 2003 I've heard that this game isn't good and that The Two Towers for PS2 is the only good one. I was thinking of getting this game but is it worth it? What are your opinions?

What are your opinions? i played the demo version. and FotR is good but it concentrates on puzzles more than fighting even though there is a considerable amount of fighting in there. TTT concentrates only on fighting. i think TTT is better but i like them both

Reborn Outcast Posted January 4, 2003 Posted January 4, 2003 The PC game for FOTR has bad graphics... such as when frodo is running his hands and watch and everything goes through him... stuff like that...I've read good and bad reviews about ti but I say get TTT for ps2.
Dark Warrior Posted January 4, 2003 Posted January 4, 2003 I did not like FOTR at all on PC. However, I bought TTT for X-Box a few days ago and it is an amazing game. The only flaw I found in it was a lack of multiplayer mode. That would be sweet. Gauntlet Legends style. I really wanted to see a co-op mode for TTT. But other then that TTT was a great game that was imo very true to the movie.

whitedragon Posted January 4, 2003 Posted January 4, 2003 legolas is good for ranged attacks in TTT but he sucks in meele combat (he get a ton of upgrades for his bow though). gimli is best for meele combat but he is really slow (even though he can take out an uruk hai with one hit). aragorn is between the two ( i usually use aragorn

I beat the game, got to level 10, beat Sarumon's 20 tower thing and bought all of Aragorn's moves. You know what is cool. At the beginning of the game when you fight as Isildur, you say to yourself, "Now this guy kicks ass". Then you use Aragorn and he appears to play like crap. But eventually, as you gain levels and progress through the game, Aragorn almost (for lack of a better word) turns into Isildur. It's neat because Aragorn is related to Isildur. I really like the cutscenes in TTT videogame. They show actual footage from the movie and then all of a sudden the movie cutscene turns into graphics but you hardly notice. And then all of a sudden you are fighting. It is cool. I really liked this at the beginning when you fight with Isildur in the battle with Sauron that occured 3000 years before FOTR.
whitedragon Posted January 4, 2003 Posted January 4, 2003 yeah isildur kicked ass. he had all the upgrades and every combo move and then aragorn fights the ring wraths and i kept saying GET UP FASTER. but when aragorn turns level 10 i was just haveing so much fun fighting the orcs
Breton Posted January 4, 2003 Posted January 4, 2003 I would wish they'd made a pc version of TTT, that would rock, they could even put on some kind of multiplayer too. Why does a lot of good games only comes out on consoles?
