I am sure someone has gone through word for word what GL has said....

He said it was the last one he would do, whilst he was still alive...

I am sure that we could kill him off once Episode 3 is complete, and get someone else to do them, Ron Howard and Steven Spielberg are good friends of his, I am sure they could step in.....

You don need GL for Star Wars....and after seeing E2 I'm wishing he'd just let someone write and direct 3, just so there'll be at least one in the prequals that is a truly good movie, and not just a SW movie (which counts for a lot).

After 3 I'm sure there will continue to be SW games and fiction (what are we up to, like 20 years after endor now?).

actually were at *edit* 26 *edit* years past endor :D

but yeah SW will forever live on with games and the EU. and when he dies his company will decide to make more money from more movies and they may go back to the sith war. or forward to the thrawn crisis and buff that up. all i know is that the marketers are already getting ready for these options. i mean knights of the old republic! its gonna be huge and spark major interest in the sith/jedi of old. following that will be books (worked with dark forces didnt it?) and sequels and prequels until they no longer crave money..... HAH!

Star Wars will be remembered and celebrated for a long long time. I will never forget or be sad that the movies have ended cause its always there and I will always marvel over the genius work of Lucas. One of the greatest movie makers of all time. Its all in our memories and memoribilia. Do not fret my fellow Jedi. The Force is forever...

George Lucas is doing whats right. Ending w/episode 3 is a smart decision. He has done a great job with the new trilogy, but in my mind and other peoples minds, It does not stand up to the orginal trilogy. And he has completed what he wanted to do. He did not want to make three trilogys of the Star Wars universe. He wanted to make these movies following Luke Skywalker and his Father. He will complete that story after episode three. Whoever you believe is the one who brings balance to force, Luke or Anakin, he has completed their story. There is nothing else to be made about it. And I really will cry if someone trys to make a third trilogy after GL has passed. Its his creation, and brought us so much joy, so why dont we leave it in Lucas' hands ok?Do you really want to see Ron Howard direct Star Wars?

Correct me i i am wrong, but I thought that eps 4-6 WERE 4-9, and that he decided to truncate them.

What would eps 7-9 be about?

Refounding of te Jedi Council would fit the best, but it doesn't take place until 26 yrs after Endor (NJO Series)

To base eps 7-9 on it would be an INSULT to all the EU writers and fans.

I just can't see hat else could be done to stay in the pattern...
