Cameo Appearances ...

a cameo is when a person/character who doesn't necessarily 'belong' in a story/movie/show/computer game makes an appearance.

one of the best examples is the director alfred hitchcock, who ALWAYS had some small acting part in every movie he ever directed.

----------------

my personal favorite (which comes from a different thread, and game me the idea for this thread) is how the tusken raiders (you know, the 'animals' anakin skywalker refers to in EP2 on tattooine) make an appearance in the lucasarts game, Full Throttle, as a motorcycle gang.

what's your favorite??

GL and Speilberg as Missionaries in the opening scene of Indy: Temple of Doom!

GL in Just Shoot Me! was good to. He punched Dennis Finch (Spade's character) flat on the ground!

*** The fact that Max, from Sam and Max, are in most of the early LEC games, including my favorites, DF and JK!

Really!

Hey, in AotC, the Outlander Club is mainly cameos! Ahmed Best, Anthony Dainels, GL's daughter...

His youngest son is the kid in the library that Jocasta Nu helps after saying there is no such place as Kamino to Obi-Wan.

The whole Austin Powers: Goldmember movie is filled with cameo appearances

That was great. Danny DeVito as Mini Me!!!! :D lol

I can't believe Speilberg was in it. It was funny to see him do a roundoff. And then seeing Britney Spears made me want to take the tape out and burn it, but it was great to see her head blow up!

What about the cameo Mark Hamill makes in "Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back".

Dang you! I was going to say that.

Wes Craven, Shannon Doherty (sp), Ben Afflec (sp), Matt Damon, Pie sexer man Jason Biggs, James Van Der Beek (sp), that funny as hell hitch hicker man what is his name? comedian.

The director of LotR appears in his own movies and has included his kin in LotR.

Neil Diamond in that horrible movie with the 3 friends (Jack Black, Jason Biggs, and other good actor dude).

If I come up with more I will say them.

How bout Peter Jackson playing a man who throws a rock down onto an Urk Hai in Lord Of the Rings: The Two Towers during the Battle for Helms Deep.

Peter Jackson's children appear as "cute Rohan refugee children."

Cameo(Alan Lee): The Concept Designer can be seen as the Rohan collecting weapons at Helm's Deep (to the left when Aragorn yell's "Then I shall die as one of them!")

And for Spider-Man:

Cameo: [stan Lee] The creator of Spider-Man appears in the scene where the Green Goblin attacks the balcony at the World Unity Festival.

Cameo: [Nicholas Hammond (I)] the former "Spider-Man" actor is also at the World Unity Festival.

Cameo: [ Lucy Lawless] as a punk girl.

Peter Jackson actually appears three times in FotR.

He is the burping, carrot wielding chap in Bree.

He is the black-haired dwarf who sits near Gimli in the Council of Elrond.

And he is also Bilbo's father, Bungo. (The pictures over the fireplace in Bag End of Bilbo's parents are actually paintings of Peter Jackson and his partner, Fran Walsh)

I understand he appears as one of the wild men of Dunland (Dunlendings) in TTT.

I've seen the first one and... LOL. :D

Haha.. IF ONLY adillion! IF ONLY. Byt yea, George Lucas had signed on N'Sync, but once word broke that they would have a split-second appearance in AOTC, many die-hard fans wrote to Lucasfilms in digust, so Lucas had the scene where they were very brielfy shown removed.

I didn't go that far. I just whined about it to my SW friends and teachers and they thought it was the stupidest thing ever.
