ZePhyR
Like a month or so ago, I noticed an occasional whirring noise coming from within my computer. I didn't think much of it, cuz it would stop, or at least I'd stop hearing it. Today after work though, I get home, turn on the computer, and it's louder, and more constant. First thing that comes to my mind would be the hard drive, but why would it make a noise like that?
Boba Rhett
Firstly, take the case off and take a peek. It could be something as simple as a dangling wire hitting your fan.

Where do you think little baby computers come from? The stork?
