The two men will discuss their current projects and here is a little snippet from their discussion: Journalist: Is the development of Final Fantasy XII in progress? The existence of this interview is not yet confirmed so stay tuned for more information next week. Darklighter
I always thought that FF games were best released on PS and PS2 (games VII-X were great). I wouldn't trust Nintendo to start making RPG games. In the words of Obi-wan Kenobi; "I have a bad feeling about this."
RoguePhotonic
Well guess you can hope that they will look alittle better...since the gamecube is alittle more powerful then PS2..
Sam
Nintendo is probably buying square soft to make up for selling rare.

Also, Nintendo doesnt make the RPGs, Squaresoft makes them for Nintendo. But still...i kinda got used to them being on playstation. Im sort of looking foward to having them back on Nintendo again, but the reason im sort of disappointed is cause I will eventually have to go out and get a GC now. Now play the same DVD on each player...i doubt youd be able to tell much of a difference (besides the interface obviously) Now considering that the PS2 uses DVDs, and the GC uses mini-dvds (which have absolutely no performance differences at all) there isnt going to be a difference between the two systems. So thats pretty hyppicritical(sp?) Sony truly stole the FF series. The only reason im mad is cause now if i ever wana experience FF games again or other good RPGs made by square i gotta get a GC! Boba Rhett
That's not true. There is absolutely noticable differences in many of the PS2/GCN games.

Boba Rhett
Take Jango from Bounty Hunter for example, the model for the GC is 7500 polygons with texture effects while the PS2's is 2500 polys.

Katarn07
OK, it may be superior in reality, and I have never played on PS2 or GC, but the PS2 is so much more popular, that many people hate GC. So my logic is that the console switch will piss many gamers out there off. I mean, not everyone can run out to the store to get a 150 dollar console every time a new game comes out exclusivley for it. If I did, I'd have a GC for Rouge Leader and Bounty Hunter, a PS2 for Vice City, and XBox for KotOR (well, it comes out sooner than PC... I guess I can wait until summer fall... )

I heard what you said, and IMO, I don't think this is going to turn out well, since I have yet to see a decent GC RPG. I lost faith in Nintendo's ability to produce good RPG titles when I saw the new-look Zelda *shivers*. My point is that Nintendo are going to be overseeing the production of these games by Squaresoft. I just don't have a good feeling about it, I would prefer it to be released on PS2. Katarn07
*spits Mug Rootbeer out of mouth* Holy $hitake Mushrooms! They'd might as well do the original graphics, the overhead view. It'd be better than the "paperdoll" dealy they did. Oh my gosh; that has made my day... Oh, and confirms that Nintendo sucks... *** Oh, Liell. Did you read the post in that first link? And at the way bottom of your's... This version of Legend of Zelda has been cancelled.

Boba Rhett
Matt... they canceled that one to make the so called, "kiddy" version. That, "kiddy" version has gotten multiple perfect scores. Of course, that doesn't matter to you because it's all about how it looks, right? *starts handing out little coins marked "clue"*
jokemaster
I'm nuetral in this since I have both a PS2 and a GC, so it doesn't really matter for me EDIT: I'm tired of people judging games by their "look" I mean come on, there are lots of great games with bad graphics, look at FF VII, it's graphics are far outdated but it's still a good game. Games are made for gameplay, not graphics
