ckcsaber
I was going thru the NBA website and came across this pic. I know there are some b-ball fans here, and there was an NBA thread going for a little while, so I decided to bring this pic up Spud Webb, 5 foot, 7 inches tall

Eldritch
5"5' isn't that short. Ole' Mugsy Bogues used to play pro basketball, and he was only 5"2'.
Reb Starblazer
5 foot 7 and 5 foot 5? Still ain't got nothin' on ol Mugsy. Do none of you remember Tyrone "Mugsy" Bogues, 5 feet, 3 inches tall? Undoubtably one of the best shooters in the NBA, he's all skill. He's an amazing shot, he's got great control, he's fast, agile, and clever. Everything the sport is supposed to be about. Sadly, he's getting older now, and not getting as much game time as he used to. Damn shame too. EDIT : Guess I'm not the only one who remembers Mugsy. Good show Aru-Wen:D

BCanr2d2
I remember Buggsy, Hornets man I believe.... But Buggsy didn't dunk, Webb did, and for such a short guy, he had to leap 1 foot vertically higher than someone like MJ. For guys that all have the relatively same athletic ability, to outleap people by 1 foot is a lot..... I think its something in the water..... Secret Govt conspiracy for small people to take over the world (Napoleon was short, so was Hitler.... Ahh, it's just a bad take off of what was said on U2's Outside Broadcast Special of Zoo TV)
Darth Talliusc
wow, that shots simply incredible. i wonder what people at the arena who first saw him dunk thought. bet at least one person dropped their dinner.
WolfmanNCSU
Mugsy did play for the hornets. He was well known for his ball handling and assists. Awesome player, probably the best inch for inch.
Clemme w/Stick
He was the smallest player ever to win the Dunk contest. YOu can also find the dunk in video format there..! -Clemme
Luc Solar
I remember those dunks. I watched them over and over again, screen by screen. Amazing. Hey...I got an idea. Let's hee who's da man! Okay, first we got Spud with his feeble effort: And then we have good ol' Luc: Whaddaya say? Do I win? Huh?? LMAO! How the hell did he get up there?! That's not fair! And btw - what's 5 foot 7 in the metric system? Testing if it'll show up:

Clemme w/Stick
Yeah he retired last year, after playing a season or two with the Raptors. He was k00! Yay, I'm higher than Mugsy! -Clemme

Pedantic
What would be interesting is to see a 5'7" white boy try to dunk. And it looks like Luc is about to taste some wonderful rimcheck pie.

But I'd still lose by 2 feet. (Though I was already on my way down in that pic..see the way I'm dragging down my l337 MJ-shirt ) Haha... Damn U Spud. I hate you. ZePhyR
Muggsy, as it was spelled, was 5'3", not 5'2" as it was mentioned earlier. And this new fellow at 5'5", NBA fans would know him as Earl Boykins, is putting on quite a show for the Warriors. Personally, I believe It's Troy Murphy and his Rodman-like rebounding skills that'll carry the Warriors either near the playoffs this year or into them next! Yeah, Spud was a stud.
