the point of this thread is simple. i believe that you can learn alot about a person by listening to their favourite song.

i promise to try my absolute hardest to listen to every song that is posted here (please just one song per person) and i hope that you will do the same.

ill get the ball rolling: Epiphany by Bad Religion.

i hope that you might know me a bit better from that song and more importantly that you would enjoy the song for itself.

oh and one last thing: there are people on these boards who are of a young age so any songs with vivid descriptions or profanity unsuitable for children should be noted as such.

thanks in advance for making this fun for everyone and sharing yourself.

Awesome song and band.

Anyway, I would say take a listen to Bob Segar- Turn The Page. It's a good song.

fav song would Eleanor Rigby by the Beatles (hay it what my parents nearly called me);)

but the one that will tell you the most about me is Bitch by Meridith Brooks (just ignore the mother bit, although I do look after my friends):naughty:

Ooh, Bob Segar is great too Obi-Wan . There is just so much great music out there.

I'd also say listen to Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Great lyrics and awesome guitars.

Michael Jackson - Smooth Criminal

It is not so much the words of the song that tell you what I'm like, but the nature and the rhythm of the song. Plus the fact that it is by my most favourite artist ever, a person who I've looked up to in everything I do when performing (I am an actor/dancer, btw). I never tire of listening to it:)

One of them (cause i have many) would be

"Stem/Long Stem" by Dj Shadow...(main sample is from an Italian progressive band i believe)

The material he mixes together is simply amazing...just listen to "midnight in a perfect world".

He might be a Dj, but i also consider him a great musician.

and "Bohemian Rhapsody" is a great song!. :)

wow, this thread actually worked. im so happy!

ill do this in order, and remember that these are just my opinions of the songs not you personally :p

bohemian rhapsody is and always has been a great song.

turn the page is a classic (didnt metallica do their own version as well?). its a great song.

eleanor rigby isnt my normal style of listening tunes, but i like it all the same. *starts humming "all the lonely people"*

i didnt much like freebird.

losing my religion is one of my mothers favourite songs so i hear it pretty often. not a bad song in my book.

the lead singer of saliva's voice bothers me but the song itself has a nice flow to it. again not my normal style of music but still good.

darky, i know exactly what you mean, the rythm and flow are great.

s/citz, i hope you're joking, if you're not then im sorry but i wont be listening to that unless i have no other choice.

as for dj shadows work. its very interesting, the great thing about these dj's is that you never really know whats coming next. again the vocals arent really to my liking (what little there is at all seems like it doesnt fit) and the crazy drums seem too excessive but the main flow is very nice.

keep em coming guys!
