Family in KOTOR

Do you think there will be any heavily involved side missions about family feuds, etc.?

That would be very interesting.

Well, I remember when the first previews were coming out they said that the most powerful Jedi in the galaxy would be your sister/brother.

I don't know if it is right or not anymore, but I am ready to see what happens. :D

I have a feeling that family should play some part in the story though, hopefully. :)

That sounds an awful lot like Baldur's Gate... You were basically the spawn of an evil god called Bhaal. The two most powerful Bhaal spawns were you and, well, your sister who you were raised with most of your life.

That and the fact that there were other Bhaal Spawns who were powerful..of course, at the end of the expansion, it was just nothing but the slaying of your bhaal-kin..

This would be interesting,though.

really?! where at ultimaster?

it would be interesting though. but i dont think it would be necessary to enjoy the game? would it? i dont think it could happen unless your a jedi though, and that doesn't really make sense, unless marrying is not against the jedi code back then.

Mmmm, I still expect that there will be SOMETHING. If not with your PC, then with one of the NPCs. (As someone stated, Carth Onassi and Bandon DO look alike)

Plus, what would be the main reason be that the main hero has GOT to be a human?

I think it is a case of simplifying the variables. We all know how humans behave, so it's simpler to program the NPCs to react to one species rather than a range of them. The game is also heavily story driven, so we should feel an immediate connection with a human character that we might not with an alien. Or put another way, we can immediately start getting into character, without having to figure out an alien mindset while interacting with others.

Finally, the only major non-human character in Star Wars is Yoda. It's a Star Wars habit.

Good point, it might be a reason for them... still, why would they offer various races for the Baldur's Gate games? Oh wait, of course, not all the lines were spoken.

Ahem... Chewbacca.... R2-D2... C3PO...

Actually,you mean humanoid. ;)

No, I meant exactly what I wrote. Eets is right -- although I admit I considered including R2-D2. Also, Vader is definitely human. He may be half machine, but the thinking half is human, and that's what matters.
