I agree with Rogue. Some were dissapointing but none sucked(I never played Bombad Racing ;) ).

The past couple of years LucasArts has been wise enough to work with some of the best game developers in the business. So for the past 3 or 4 years the SW games have been great.

Look at KOTOR as part of this new trend. The excellence trend.

I'll take a little bit of everyone's answer so far.........I don't help out on sites that deal with bad games. The one game I can think of that sucked was Obi-Wan. This fall is going to be amazing if you are a SW gaming fan, with KOTOR, JA, and Galaxies all coming out. :D Darky had my very first thought when I looked at the title of the thread. ;)

I suggest reading more about it, find some articles and check it for yourself rather then just taking our word for it. :)

I'd say that if you look at the depth of the game, the quality visible in screenshots, etc... that it's going to be good. You can tell when a game is made quickly or without much care - as in the case of "The Phantom Menace" - it was a good game, sorta, but there were only 11 levels and if you look at the graphics and compare it to KOTOR there was practically NO detail. Of course it did come out in 1999, but it gave the impression that there wasn't really much to it. I guess i'm trying to say that it wasn't a game with much attention paid to it - as opposed to KOTOR.

The game will be so good, it'll reach through your TV/Computer screen and beat the living crap out of you with it's total awesomeness.

i can think of a couple of crappy SW, though this is definately not going to be one.

phantom menace was bad, episode 1 racer was kinda crappy, obi wan was not so cool.

but thats all the bad ones i can think of as opposed to all the good ones i can. that list goes on forever.

Phantom Menace--Loved it.

Racer--Loved it.

Obi-Wan--Loved it.

Any Star Wars game can be really bad, but I will still love it just because it is SW. None of them seem like bad games at all to me.

Example--Most people think Obi-Wan is terrible.

When I turned on Obi-Wan for the first time:

"Holy cow this game is awesome!"

Get my point? :D:p

I didn't think Racer was that bad, but it's a pure racing game... Obi-Wan I've never actually played... but TPM is different - i'm not saying it was bad or anything - what i meant was that it was really short without a lot of input effort.

BTW, what exactly *was* TPM? It was an RPG of some weird sort... but a really non-intensive one... like you actually controlled the combat amd jumping, etc...

com_raven - Ah. Makes sense now.

Actually one of the things i liked about TPM was the jumping. I don't know why, but it just felt good to be able to double jump around like that :D

I've found that when games are based off movies they tend to be really quickly put together and churned out there with a noticeable drop in quality. The exception would prolly be the James Bond games - some of those were good. :)

trivia=Apparently Angelina demanded a better script for the next movie. I never saw the movie, was it actually alright or more fodder?

I really liked the Racer demo, it had a good arcadish feel to it, if only for the fact that it crashed every few minutes on my comp:mad: ah well, now we have KOTOR coming up and it's going to be good because THEY SAID SO!!!:D, actually that is true, I think it was one of the IGN items where one of the Bioware guys said it would be "our best game since BG2"
