wall float?

Uh...you mean wall walk?

Ok to do wall jump:

1) Stand next to a wall.

2) Hold down forward and walk alongside the wall.

3) While still holding forward, press strafe right + jump at the same time. You will then see your character do a cool wall walk like Neo in the Matrix.

O ya, this really belongs here. Wait for the mods to move it.

hardly, wall floating is a bug, but is rarely used in competetive CTF except in bespin shafts, where if u are raging u can use it to escape through the small window from the flag platform, trying to use it on any other map is rediculous.

u dont have to rage, speed will do it, but rage and sped makes it easier, to do it, activate both speed and rage, and run off an edge in towards a wall, but dont let go of the jump button. you will float up, the higher / faster you go, the further you will float.

check out nutritious's trick jump video for some cool wall floats.

good place to do it is from the ledge with the flechette on warring factions (streets), to the wall

down below, u can see this on the vid i mentioned. :)

basically just dont let go of jump whilst speed and raging, and itll work.

wall float is a bug, which if done the way i described, it lets you 'glide' up the side of a wall in jk2, instead of falling to your death.

note: you dont need to hug the wall, once you start to rise up, you can move away from the wall.

also 'wassup', if u want to meet on a server i can show u how to do it.

like i say, its hardly used to any overwhelming effect, its nearly impossible to use this for any tactical function other than the bespin shafts jump, and almost everyone uses it there, so its hardly an advantage. plus its a move that requires little to no skill to execute so everyone can do it.

so is using the invisible saber bug, which gives people a 25-50 point damage shield around them that no one can see (seriousl)

oh, it's easy, EVERYONE can do it, even by accident as well, so I guess we should all start doing it

;)

Whether you like it or not, wall float is a bug that exploited, and it can get you banned. There are FAR more other uses in maps like CTF_Streets, but I'm not telling anyone what I've seen people use it with on that map.

i know on ctf streets it can get you from enemy base to home base in 2 jumps, but you'd have to be out of your mind to try it in competitive CTF, raging on streets is a bad idea, 1 in 100 times will you get a successful cap run using rage. I dont know about any invisible saber bug, so i can't comment, but as far as wall floating goes, it has little to no effect on a game.

I dont see the big deal with it. All you are doing is combining force powers (using rage AND speed) and well...enhancing your jump. I think it should be perfectly OK to do. I actually do it all the time its so fun, and I have managed to make it from blue base to red base in 2 jumps in ctf_streets I tried for 3 hours while my friend watched.

My take on it is...if you can do it, so can EVERYBODY else. Banning somebody for doing this is as retarted as banning somebody for using lightning. Everybody can do it, so it is perfectly fair I believe. Besides in the bespin room all you gotta do is push them and itl screw them over.

so the exploit that gives you an invisible damage shield around you that does 25-50 damage PER "hit" shouldnt be bannable either? Since everyone else can do it? It's far too easy to do.....EVERYONE can do it. Soon, the entire game will be filled with exploiters since everyone can. (Btw this is a real exploit. I can show it to you, but wont show HOW to do it, you can even get saber kills while holding a rocket launcher).

It's an exploit, simply put, and it's bannable.
