True Neutral
I was wondering, do you have to stay with a certain faction to use their equipment, like is there a requirement of a faction amount to use the equipment. Because i was thinking maybe to get some of the good gear from a faction, then either "disappear" or "retire" so you could still use their armour. Also it would be good to have an opposing factions armour for covert missions so you can sneak into enemy bases and such. Just a few things i was curious about, hope you can help. Cheers
swediot=)
i dont think weve been told about this but im sure if you kill a storm trooper you can just pick up their armour and use it so i guess you would be able to... i dont see why they would take it off you that would just be sad
setsuko
Well, swediot, a looong time ago there was a beta update post from the devs about this, that back then, anyone could kill a stormtrooper and wear their armour, but that they removed this ability, since it ended up with while battlefields where EVERYONE wore stormtrooper armour! Xx_Patman_xX
If you killed a stormtrooper, wouldnt you be pro-rebellion therefore not wanting to wear stormtrooper armor?
True Neutral
I understand that you probably wouldn't want to wear it, but i was also talking about if you wanted to trick someone. For example if you were a rebel and dressed up as a stormtrooper to fool a imperial chap you could then whack him on the back of the head. Bad example, but you get the idea. setsuko
Yes. But it won't happen. Faction equipment is only wearable by persons in the faction.
Dathan Surehand
It was probably abused too much in beta. If they didn't take away the ability to wear another fadtions armor could you imagine the difficulty of PvP. Or just general battelfields? Espionage could use something like taking an opposing factions' uniform and infiltrating thier base, but too bad.
Lord_Vessen
I don't think stormie armour is that strong so who would want to wear it? Well I think that each faction won't equip your player. But maybe as you go along and get points you could get rifles etc.
Jatari Bazrak
yeah so if you wanted stromtrooper armor you would have to use your fraction points same for the blaster rifles, and people can see what fraction your in.

Sounds good to me. At least everyone will have a chance to be equal and stormtrooper wannabes will be able to get it rather easy.
Lord_Vessen
Yes they will. I would never want to be a stormie. They are too boring.

Xx_Patman_xX
I am going to be a male human on whatever the main US East PvP server is and be a stormtrooper (or at least try and be).

Not to mention those regulars (stormtroopers) got mowed down like red-shirts on (hold on, don't flame yet) star-trek ... Unless you are looking for a fight, don't wear that armor. Everyone and their brother will say " Hey, look, it's a lone storm trooper, easy loot." And try to whack ya. But heh, I am probably wrong...... True Neutral
I'd like to have a storm trooper helment, put it on a stick and carry it around proudly. Or just have a kick around with it with some friends.
kyle katarn1587245987
Or perhaps recreate the Ewok celebration. Wonder what kinda sound you could get outta Stormie helmets... *ponders*
setsuko
Well, Patman, you can't be a stormtrooper. The closest thing you can do is run along in stormtrooper armour and shoot rebels in the name of the Empire; you won't be a stormtrooper proper. Which is good, since it would suck when you get stationed on some backwater unimportant military base!
Xx_Patman_xX
I know you cant be a stormtrooper. I would just want to play in PvP battles wearing stormtrooper armor. The battlefield system seems pretty dam cool

But heh, I am probably wrong...... They are portrayed as weak in the movies, but in "RL", and in the game, they are very strong. Do not underestimate them. From the sounds of it, they are almost the equivalent to a guard in EQ.
Zek
Why would anyone want to wear the plastic stormtrooper armor, if not for a job requirement?
Dathan Surehand
Zek Why would anyone want to wear the plastic stormtrooper armor, if not for a job requirement? So they can whip out the Turtle wax and give it a little spit shine, that's why. Or maybe they can blame the armor when some random rebels take them out.
