Iridonian or Zabrak?

Skate boy probably put out the best analogy, but pretty much everyone else is right as well.

To use another analogy, all terriers are dogs, but not all dogs are terriers. All Iridonians are Zabraks, but not all Zabrak's are Iridonian.

The Zabrak homeworld is Iridonia, but a long time ago in the Star Wars galaxy the Zabrak species discovered space/interstellar travel. One of the first species to actually. So they set out on their way in the galaxy, eventually colonizing other planets and claiming them for the Zabrak species. There are slight differences between the different groups of Zabraks that settled on the different planets, different horn patterns, different skin tones, different "races" of Zabraks.

Let's just say a certain Zabrak was born on the colony world named Blahdonia. He would then be a Blahdonian Zabrak, still a Zabrak, just not an Iridonian Zabrak. Apparently sometimes they just drop the Zabrak part from the title, calling themselves Iridonian, or Blahdonian for example. Maul was born on Iridonia, hence he is an Iridonian Zabrak. Also, the Jedi Council member Eeth Koth was born on Nar Shaddaa, but because both of his parents were Iridonian he is considered one as well.

Now, in the scheme of things, most likely it is an EU screwup, and their whole Iridonian or other Zabrak story is just their way of trying to cover their arses.:D
