*cheers* :)

oh...this game i am waiting from the day it was released...i hope it has the freelance it suppose to have...and seems

and not a face one :p

and I don't have the matching console

yep, that's so problematic (but i believe it was the only console it could be out, think the hard disk of X-box helped in many problems, like in Blinx)

Anyway....X-box will be bought ;) for 2 games...THIS and Psyconauts (hi moos :D )

As a joke, they should suddenly cancel it for the X-Box, and then release it for the Game Gear. That'd be pretty funny.

LOL, don't say this thinks, Molyneux is one of those that can keep a game in production for years after the schedule day :D , so its a small possibility it will get out for X-Box 2 :p

I don't really know how to answer. I am unfortunately incapable of lowering myself to that level of cheesiness as to come up with a repartee worthy of everyone's time...

...you dope.

I actually found the gore rather funny, and truly in keeping with one of the original contexts of fairy tales and fables. If you study stories such as those from the Grimm brothers, Hansel & Gretel, Snow White, etc., you'll find a preponderance of violence, often with graphic descriptions. A friend once showed me a children's book he owned, published in Germany years ago. The illustrations graphically depicted what would happen when you disobey your elders, do the wrong things, and otherwise stray off the righteous path. And this was a children's book.

Today we've been lead to believe that fairy tales are supposed to be clinically pure, innocent, and with nothing but happy endings. Bulls@#t. :D Blame Disney (amongst other institutions) for conditioning us. These kinds of stories really were originally intended to scare the crap out of kids in order to keep them in check.

Also, there were options in the Fable book. For example, rather than shooting arrows at the minstrel, you could have let him play his song. Granted, the arrows made for a more enjoyable experience, but the option was there, as it was for the others (pick the apples for the old lady, save the man hanging upside down, buy a drink for the lady rather than pouring it on the man, etc.).

I found all the options fun, but what disappoints me is that no matter how you go through the book, it always ends up saying, "And so he became a good hero..." and gives you the wallpaper for the good guy. And there were times when I certainly did not become a good hero, though I was quite good at doing the bad thing. Hopefully they plan to expand that part of the site in the future.

While it was admittedly fun to shoot arrows at the minstral, I don't get why every action with the animations has to result in some form of gore.

Hmmm, you wouldn't know about the site's excessive gore unless you pushed all the 'wrong' buttons. Does that tell us something about your alignment once you play the game? icon_smileevil.gif

EDIT: If you guys haven't seen the game in action, watch the E3 2003 trailer. It looks gorgeous, although most of what's shown is the combat.

Not true.

edit: Comments on game itself: Pretty. I like how each of the half-second clips shows the character in a different state (age, evility, etc.). I don't like how all these games assume there's only good and evil. What about the "path to hypocrisy and inaction"? (I'm pretty sure that's what I'd take, given the option. :p)
