Zoom Rabbit Posted August 28, 2003 Posted August 28, 2003 Your PM mailbox is full. (Hint: if you check your 'sent items' folder, you may find a copy there of every PM you've ever sent.) *(Looks around.)* Why...we've been here before, haven't we? Deja vu! Okay. Everyone go and clean out your PM mailboxes. Right now! Do it! *(Folds arms and taps foot impatiently.)* I'm waiting...
GUNNER Posted August 28, 2003 Posted August 28, 2003 I have been "talking" a lot. BTW can I still come here?
Lynk Former Posted August 28, 2003 Posted August 28, 2003 ......................................................................................................... bleah x.x i'm starting to want to kill something because of these damn pm threads... well kill more... ya know...
Zoom Rabbit Posted August 28, 2003 Author Posted August 28, 2003 Gunner: Well, I for golly-gee you betcha sure hope so...! Lynk: Sorry. I'm all for a better way.
Lynk Former Posted August 28, 2003 Posted August 28, 2003 a better way?... um... email, messenger programs, smoke signals, morse code signals, carrier pidgeons, darts...
Ray Jones Posted August 28, 2003 Posted August 28, 2003 or just a nice journey to that guy .. for a personal talk.
Surfnshannon Posted August 28, 2003 Posted August 28, 2003 I'm probably the culprit that got your PMs full! You can yell @ me lynk. But it probably won't do any good.
GUNNER Posted August 28, 2003 Posted August 28, 2003 While some of them were yours ,most of them were between me and some admin/mods doing a little "discussion" on some problems.
swphreak Posted August 28, 2003 Posted August 28, 2003 maybe if there was a way to turn off the auto save PM, it'd be easier, I sometimes forget to unclick that when I PM people.
GUNNER Posted August 28, 2003 Posted August 28, 2003 I didn't even know there was an option like that.
Lynk Former Posted August 28, 2003 Posted August 28, 2003 you guys could AVOID this sort of thing and clean ya PM boxes out too ya know. If you know you're gonna get lotsa PM's it's the smart thing to do to check it, get the message, reply asap and clear old messages.
Zoom Rabbit Posted August 29, 2003 Author Posted August 29, 2003 Yeah. I will later or something. For right now I'm too busy downloading electric sheep porn...
Zoom Rabbit Posted August 29, 2003 Author Posted August 29, 2003 I just went and googled 'electric sheep porn' out of curiosity, and the only thing I have to say on the matter is: this entire planet is going to hell.

Cmdr. Cracken Posted August 30, 2003 Posted August 30, 2003 The sonner the planet goes to hell, the sooner i'll be able to sleep. damned kids.....
Ray Jones Posted August 30, 2003 Posted August 30, 2003 how many pms you can have in the pm? what if i use sub folders..does the limit only work for in and outbox? is any of these questions relevant? why to keep pms????
Zoom Rabbit Posted August 30, 2003 Author Posted August 30, 2003 I discovered the hard way that your 'sent item' folder filling up will limit your space in the inbox. My inbox was all cleaned out, but I still couldn't get PMs. I assume there is a certain amount of memory you're allowed to use for the entire PM function. Okay. As your *emperor,* I officially decree everyone to go to their PM (personal message) mailbox. The quickest way to get there is by using the drop-down menu in the lower left corner of your web page entitled forum jump--'personal messages' is toward the top of the list. When you get to your PM mailbox, you will see a drop-down menu entitled jump to folder in the upper right corner of the screen. Click on it, and select 'sent messages.' If you've never cleaned it out before, you will find there a complete copy of every single PM you've ever sent at Lucasforums, clogging up your user account with useless data. To clean it out, select the little white box after every PM you wish to get rid of, then hit the 'delete' button at the bottom of the list. What could be easier?
Lynk Former Posted August 30, 2003 Posted August 30, 2003 don't tell me you all haven't figured that out yet... are you the same people who keep year old emails "just in case"?
Zoom Rabbit Posted August 30, 2003 Author Posted August 30, 2003 Well, I would assume so as well. I've nevertheless found myself unable to PM people so frequently that the 'Full Sent Item Folder Theory' is all I have to cling to.
