  1. Not sure if anyone already posted this, but the puzzle on Terror Island where you need to find the right path inside the cavern was initially going to use a lizard. My assumption is that the lizard would guide you to the right entrance. The leftover assets also include the lizard animation moving in different directions and freezing with fear.

  2. I had to make this thread just to end my triology (DOTT, Full Throttle) Grim Fandango just got announced as part of the physical releases the Double Fine remasters got by Limited Run Games. I wasn't sure this was going to be a part of this, considering the recent iam8bit PS4/Switch releases, but I'm glad it is. This is the standar release, with the new artwork that was used in the remaster. I'm not particullary a fan of this cover, it always felt like concept art to me. Since we are on topic, I do prefer the iam8bit cover without the sleeve (right) And now to the collector edition: I think this is by far the best one yet. It respects the original cover, the poster and print are in line with the game. The postcard is a nod to the original manual. The piñata USB drive is super orignal and I personally love the bone wagon replica. With this being said, it's almost $100 dollars. As a bonus, to tie everything together, if you preorder the three games you get a triangular box reminiscent of the DOTT one back in the day: I think it's a nice extra, but I think that the artwork is so different between the three games that it clashes. Plus it's not clear if this is a bonus of all the editions or just the regular ones, of if they will fit in the box.

  3. So there's no way to have LeChuck's pamphlet completely unchecked, right? It stays blank through Part 3, but starting with Part 4 a lot of them are mandatory? I think filling out the application at the 49th Parallel is always "bear false witness", getting Locke Smith's key is always "commit fraud" (maybe not on casual mode), Herman's key is always "betray trust", Bella Fisher's key is always "destroy the beautiful", the Brrr Muda key is always "destroy the beloved", and then for Part 5 stabbing the statues is always "inflict bodily harm". I thought every Elaine conversation at the start of Part 5 triggered "throw tantrums", but someone on reddit said you can avoid that with the right answers. (I'm not sure what counts as a tantrum; I had previously thought it was triggered when Guybrush yelled at the locked chest in that montage at the end of Part 4.) Does anyone have other insights? Or are we pretty sure these checks are mandatory?

  4. I agree, the extras felt pretty cheap. They were just carboard and paper stuff. But this was $30 back in the day and comes with more stuff than LRG standar edition that costs $35 What was really cool was iam8bit's vinyl soundtrack:

  5. Random thing I noticed a few months ago — there are two versions of the newer art (not the text and cropping which varies a lot anyway).

  6. Maybe there are old threads suggesting games, but anyway... Simon the Sorcerer 1,2 -English equivalent of humor of MI, especially Simon the Sorcerer 2. Freddy Pharkas -parody of westerns. (Beware, there are deaths and tedious copy protection.) I would also suggest Touché: The Adventures of the Fifth Musketeer but i don't know if it sold anywhere.

  7. I was poking around the games images with Thimblemonkey (Thanks @Didero ❤️ ) and stumbled onto this image. It's titled PickupEvidenceCU-hd.ktxbz, and shows a closeup of Guybrush's hands and a shovel on a shelf. I'm not sure where this appears in-game. And with the shovel breakdown post in the Details of RTMI thread, i'm even more confused. Where does this happen? I'll just post the image.
