  1. (sigh) Sri...Ytan...Kaeira...Star Wars Galaxies...school...playing with my dog...basic life. :D

Oh, I almost forgot. The library copy of Tomb Raider: Anniversary turned out to be missing. -_- I put in a request for it, but they probably won't replace it. :/

Anything interesting goin' on with you?

  2. Hi, Tysy! :) I'll be happy to read the KIII fic (if I can find all the parts ), but I may or may not read the Mass Effect one. I've never played Mass Effect, so I probably wouldn't have the first clue what was going on. :o

Okay, okay, recant on what I just said--I'll read your KOTOR III fic on one condition--

Read my story! I want your opinion! :xp:

Edit: Oh, darn...okay, I'm readin' your stuff whether you read my junk or not. You're a good writer! I CAN'T MISS IT!!!!!

  3. Again I say, read Richard Maybury's books on war, especially the one on WW2. It explains everything you just said. I'd go into it, but I don't feel like writing a book about it.

PS: FDR didn't put Tojo in power. His actions, however, led to the downfall of the prior Japanese government and allowed Tojo to come to power.

Anyhoo, now that we've made it quite clear that we differ in opinion on just about everything in American history... :D

    How are ya? :)

  4. The 'million American lives' that FDR claimed would be lost by an invasion of Japan is, according to military experts, a completely ficticious number. It would actually have been closer to 40,000.

An invasion of Japan wouldn't have been necessary, anyway. Japan's navy and resources were destroyed. America had practically every battleship in the world available to blockade Japan. They would've had to surrender--not to mention the fact that they were ready to surrender, anyway.

For more complete, sourced information, I sincerely recommend that you read World War II: The Rest of the Story and How It Affects You Today by Richard J. Maybury. Also, you might want to read The Politically Incorrect Guide to American History by Thomas Woods. In fact, any and all of the 'Uncle Eric' series by Richard Maybury is good, especially since they kinda build on one another. They cover economics and history.

  5. Hitler, who I agree was a madman, killed approximately 20.9 million innocent non-combatants. Stalin (or Uncle Joe, as he was called by FDR), one of the Allies, killed twice that number. Later, his death rate grew to over 60 million.

FDR insisted on unconditional surrender for both the Germans and the Japanese. That basically means, "You surrender, and I'll kill you. You don't surrender, and I'll kill you." The German Resistance Movement was ended by this unreasonable demand, ending the many attempts to kill Hitler. The Japanese were prepared to surrender conditionally, but, since they believed that the Emperor was a god, they would be killing their god by surrendering to America, and that wasn't an option to them.

The atomic bombs were completely unnecessary.

  6. Ah, I see you have a view that pretty much all Americans do. :) A few quick, barely known facts about WW2...

Tojo wouldn't have been in power without FDR's help.

Admiral Kimmel, the commander at Pearl Harbor, had been receiving attack alerts from the government for over a year and a half, so when the real one came, he had no more reason to believe it than the last several--this is distinctly reminiscent of 'the boy who cried wolf'. Also, all of Kimmel's modern battleships (the ones that could fend off the Japanese planes easily) were sent away just a day or so before the attack--under FDR's order. And here's something that's very interesting--a few days before Pearl Harbor, General George Marshal, in a closed-door session with reporters, told them that the attack was about to happen, but they weren't to release the information, or they would be compromising the security of the nation.

    more coming...

  7. Okay, my opinion on the World Wars...

If it hadn't been for the US, they wouldn't have become World Wars. They would've been just a couple more wars in Europe, a continent that was basically a giant war zone anyway. If you gave me a few sheets of paper, I could say a bunch of other uncomplimentary things about the two wars, but it's late and I don't have time to write an essay. I'm not saying that the soldiers who died in WW1/2 weren't brave or anything, but they died needlessly, believing that they were defending their country, when in reality, their country shouldn't have had to be defended in the first place.

    Your opinion? :)

  8. Another one? You like WW2, don't you? :p

Speakin' of which, I just finished it in history...

I'm glad you liked the chapter! :xp: To me, it felt kinda choppy. :/

  9. My dear Chevron, you must learn patience. :tsk:

Now that I'm done being a complete jerk... :p

I've been writin' on the next chapter of Sri, doin' school, playin' SWG--fun stuff. :D Oh, yea, and hackin' my head off every time I smell something stronger than ice.

    So, how are you? :)

  10. I iz writin, wat do u think?!

Now that I have finished perverting the already perverse language form known as 'l33t spek'... :D

Sorry, sorry...seriously, all I can think about when I hear the l33t talk is from TPM:

    "I spake!"

"The ability to speak does not make you intelligent."

    Now, on to other matters..

I'm doin' good. :) Havin' fun writing the next chapter of Sri. :)

Did you really like the last chapter? I wasn't too sure about it. Kinda emo, IMO.

So, how are ya? What ya been up to lately? :)

  11. POST ON THE THREAD!!!!!!

Sorry. :D Don't worry, I'm just as happy to have backstage praise! :xp:

Was there anything you particularly liked about it?

PS: Since you already saw that it was there, I won't spam your PM box. :D

  12. Yes, yes, I'm doing it now! :xp:

Edit: Well...Chev, I just took a look at it. I don't think that's the club for me, considering that a) I have absolutely no clue who the characters are and b) I feel extremely uncomfortable with anything concerning homosexuals. I think I'll pass. :/ (Sorry)

  13. Actually, no I didn't. :D

  14. Ugh, you got sick, too? :/

Sorry I didn't reply for a couple days--had some problems I had to deal with. I can get on tonight after 9, if you want. :)

  15. I'm still looking for it!

  16. Sorry I didn't reply; yesterday the internet router died. -_- Got it back last night. Haven't replied today because I've been asleep most of it--I've got a fever. :/

So, now that the full extent of my unluckiness has been expounded unto you, what're you up to? :D

And yes, I shall be most happy to join your group. :xp: Just don't look at me strangely if I have no clue what you're talking about!

  17. Much as I hate to do it, I better take a day off from SoD. :/ I just tried to write on something. I looked back over my work, and it was terrible. -_-

    Sorry. :(

  18. Well...will you be around tomorrow?

  19. 'Fraid not--haven't even heard of it, hehe. :o

  20. It's just as well you weren't around tonight--around 7, I got a sore throat, and by 10, i was down with laryngitis and a fever. -_- (Caught it from Anni. :/) I'll be around tomorrow, if you want to write anything. :)

  21. Kk. :) I'll check back here every half hour or so. If you can't write tonight, that's fine. :) After all, I've botched enough nights meself I can't begrudge you a night off.

  22. Aww, that stinks. :( I had trouble coming up with one, meself. :/ I already did my Dark Side story when I did Rift! And the rest of the Dark Side stuff I have is all smack-dab in the middle of three other stories, and they'll make absolutely no sense unless you know the whole things, which would take about...er, a long time. :xp:

  23. Ah, heck...I got back from church, dropped into a chair for a minute, and fell flat asleep.

Sorry I ruined the writing for tonight. :/ Will you be around tomorrow night?

  24. Writing for Javyar's Cantina, of course! :xp:
