  1. This may be a long shot, but is it possible that the "World Premiere" next week is just the game dropping and the trailer we get is in fact a launch trailer to tell people "go buy it right now, it's out"? Also, will there even be a Monkey Island Monday next week? Premiere, to me at least, suggests a release, unless they simply mean "premiere of this specific trailer", which to me feels like being strung along tbh. Either way, whether it's just a straight up drop of the game or a date, I'm at least 80% sure we'll know when it's out by then.
  2. El Pollo Diablo is in this screenshot...it's Guybrush 😜
  3. Haha I remember this video! Good times. Also, great idea to change it to night, it really added to the opening of Chapter 1. It's interesting that most people's favourite locations in the series are the ones that take place at night. Probably something to do with that air of mystery that comes from darkness. I think the best daytime area in the series was probably Plunder, it just feels like a nice time being there.
  4. Ghost chickens that lay ghost eggs, apparently.
  5. Ok, I've seen enough (until the trailer next week because I have no self control ) Please Gibbous (A Cthulhu Adventure) the game already!
  6. How relevant! 👕 I beat #Mojole #149 and all I got was this stupid t-shirt. 4/6 🖤💚🖤🖤🖤 💚💚💚🖤🖤 💚💚💚🖤💚 💚💚💚💚💚 https://funzone.mixnmojo.com/Mojole/
  7. I quite like Silverwolfpet's version: Stan's New Store. if you know, you know
  8. I just paused the clip before Wally sees Guybrush and it looks like his arms are bleeding! Maybe he suffered burns after the fortress explosion.
  9. It might not mean anything, but I'm intrigued by the idea of Wally running "the best map shop in the caribbean and beyond". Could we end up going to whatever "beyond" the caribbean is? Is that where Brr Muda is located?
  10. There should probably be a poll option for the best version of them all: Ultimate Talkie Edition
  11. I'd imagine she isn't even there, probably off somewhere else and we bump into her on another island. So many questions, I'm absolutely dying for this game to come out!
  12. It's like coming home...so good! Just inject this game into my veins already! More credence given to this being mostly post-Tales given Wally says he spent YEARS in therapy, abandoned feels like a reference to being left on the rollercoaster in Curse, too. The animations on Guybrush are so good, and of course Dom is absolutely killing it with his performance: I'm so glad Neil Ross is back too. Nice to see that it's still 10 o'clock in the town. I'm curious to see what exactly triggers Guybrush to go properly looking for the Secret in this game. Voodoo Lady's going out of business is interesting, my girlfriend said "of course she is, she doesn't have a good business model" 😂
  13. Ok..that's funny and would be pure Ron Gilbert. Release a videogame on the day you were supposed to get things done, damn youuuu 😜
  14. This verb coin discussion does make me curious about the context-sensitive nature of the UI. You could do all sorts of off the wall things that way, "argue with chef" "tickle Wally" 😜
  15. Ok, I've quickly realised that I am way out of my depth in digging through the code of the website and I can't find a date for any games. Someone more well-versed in web design would have to suss it out to see if it's legit.
  16. Apparently Cult of the Lamb had the right date before it was released. I'll look into upcoming stuff later.
  17. That date leak is plausible, stuff like this happens all the time and the fact that it's on Devolver's site and not some random store page we've never heard of makes it seem more real. I think we're close. Either next week or Gamescom we'll have an official date 🤞
  18. I reeeeeally hope they show nothing of the carnival opening of the game and instead show some point after that like Melee town or something. Hopefully, none of the marketing for this game will feature a single frame of what happens immediately following the ending of Monkey Island 2. That should be saved for the first time playing the game. Of course it might also just be a trailer with a release date (hopefully soon after), but yeah, NO CARNIVAL. We've waited years to discover what was going on there, I don't want to see it on YouTube first.
  19. Aye. Nice one. 👕 I beat #Mojole #143 and all I got was this stupid t-shirt. 4/6 💛🖤🖤🖤💛 🖤🖤💛💚🖤 🖤💛🖤💚💛 💚💚💚💚💚 https://funzone.mixnmojo.com/Mojole/
  20. Thanks for clearing up the price, I nearly had a heart attack thinking the game would be 65 US dollars, which translates to much more in Aussie bucks. 24.99 is much more reasonable, especially given the scope this game appears to have. Hard to say if what this person dug up is true, but it's at least in the realm of possibility. Once again...I'm just waiting for release like
  21. Nice. 👕 I beat #Mojole #142 and all I got was this stupid t-shirt. 3/6 🖤💚🖤🖤🖤 💛💚💛🖤🖤 💚💚💚💚💚 https://funzone.mixnmojo.com/Mojole/
  22. I also just wanna say that the game's visuals keep impressing me and giving off a new but distinctly Monkey Island/Ron Gilbert vibe. There's a really cool glow coming off Lechuck and the rain effecs just make the whole evil pirate ship come alive. This may be heresy, but I might end up ranking this as my favourite looking Monkey Island game. There's a lot here that just click for me, and it's saying a lot because I adore Curse. If that game ever gets remastered though it could easily jump back on top.
  23. I wonder if that's part of a puzzle, helping someone to piece together their memories of what was said somehow.
  24. It takes some getting used to because we're so accustomed to Earl Boen, but Jess Harnell's take is really good. The blahs are interesting (and imo very funny 😂), my first thought was the narrator getting bored of the meanwhiles in LeChuck's Revenge, but there might he something else going on, I'm not too sure. Aaargh, I just can't wait to play this thing!
  25. My dumb theory about the Secret: Guybrush finds a chest hidden inside the catacombs under the monkey head. He opens it, and as it glows in front of his eyes, he exlaims "wow! so THAT'S the secret!" We never see what he saw, but our inventory now has a little question mark in it that says "The Secret of Monkey Island TM" and every time we look at it Guybrush has a different variation of "this was well worth all those years lookng for it" and such.
