Hey Benjamin, just wanted to say that this project great! What a wonderful idea and and contribution to preservation. I like that it‘s a reminder that, back then, the „experience“ of Monkey Island wasn‘t just playing the game, it was also holding a box, fiddling with the code wheel, and reading a manual.

Oh man this is the best. Who needs the trailer?! We can make our own trailers!

Did we talk about this here yet? At first I thought it's a funny tweet, but recently I wonder if Ron is hinting at something? Like, is the arch some kind of portal between worlds/realities? It made me curious because Ron tweeted this image from an old Star Trek episode on that same day (see below). Anybody knows what happens in that episode?

Oh man, if the game is about revealing the secret, I hope it focuses on Guybrush and what it means to him. I think his reaction and relationship to it is key. I agree that there can‘t be any twist that would surprise us/the player in a meaningful way. It should be a twist for Guybrush first. Also it would be cool to reveal the secret at the beginning of the game, not at the end! So that we can spend as much time as possible with Guybrush dealing with it.

Hey, since I saw the Is Ron just lying post merged with the Return to Monkey Island thread (interesting topic btw!), I wanted to mention something I had on my mind for a bit: I wish we would start creating new threads instead of talking about everything in here. The more pages the ReMI thread gets the less I'm interested in participating or reading. Idk what do others feel about that? Is there even the desire or option to create a Monkey Island sub forum?
