It depends on the forum, and if what you have to say contributes in a substantially useful way. Adding constructive comments to fan-fics or fan-art in CEC to a long dormant thread would be OK. Adding comments to a long-dormant mod or fic just to say "this is cool" or "when is this getting released?", especially if the writer or modmaker haven't been online for more than a month or two, are not constructive and will generally get you in trouble. If it's a long dormant thread, it's probably better to PM the person you want to talk to about that issue.

If you have a problem with a particular moderator, you should address that with that moderator in a PM and not in public, unless you're just dying to get yourself banned by questioning moderator actions in public. We follow the forum rules, and you can expect we will take action based on those rules--that's not a secret thing. Also, we are individual volunteers--everyone handles things a little differently.

I have not been following the forums as closely lately. My sister has just been diagnosed with cancer and it has spread all over her chest and abdomen. The family crisis has taken precedence over other tasks. One of the CEC mods will move your fic if you've followed the instructions on archiving your story.

I never got an infraction, no, or even a warning. We select staff based on needs, who we think will do the job well, and how well we'll all get along together. Asking to be a moderator will generally not be viewed as a good thing by most staff.

The moderator control panel is a section of the forum where moderators check IP addresses, user names, profiles, give awards, etc. It's only accessible to staff.

Moderators on this forum are asked to be staff, they don't apply anywhere. They also are people who consistently follow the rules and don't get infractions.

I have no idea how many times I've played. I play most RPGs through several times, playing both genders and good/evil to experience the various different dialog options and endings.

follow the instructions on how to post a FIN thread in CEC, please, and it'll get done when one of us gets a few minutes to take care of it.
