BongoBob
This discussion is so heated, I need a fan! <_< >_> Forget I said that *runs out of thread* j/k:D I havn't seen any of the movies discussed besides Finding Nemo. I have a question for you people who have seen the 2nd Matrix. My mom said that she'll let me see it IF it has no f-bombs in it. Does it? I know 1 didn't have it at all, but does #2? BongoBob
I hope not. That's the only reason I was able to see the original matrix. Is there alot of blood shown, though? I'll still be able to see it, but my mom doesn't like alot of bloody gory scenes.
leXX
I don't wanna hear no more "if it wasn't for us" crap. Get this thread back on topic. I havn't seen POC unfortunately. I've heard it's excellent, and I'm gonna go see it soon, but so what if it's ahead of Reloaded in the box office? It's a family film, so more people are able to see it, but if it's that good, then it deserves it's spot above Reloaded. Die hard Matrix fans such as myself don't care about box office figures. It doesn't make the slightest bit of difference to our enjoyment of it.
Andy867
Ahh.. LexX speaks.. Sup LexX anyways.. I just thought I would make this thread to prove to anyone who would ever try to make a thread saying that Matrix Reloaded is the #1 movie of the year. Which we all know is not true, since there much better films IMHO, plus there is still the lord of the rings which will smasch even the #1 seeded film so far this year, Finding Nemo. But then there is also Revolutions to look forward to.
leXX
Sup Andy. Yes, there are some great films to look forward to indeed. ROTK and Revolutions to come. I have a feeling ROTK will come out on top, but I am extremely looking forward to both. At the end of the day, all that matters is that you were entertained. BongoBob
Exactly. But I believe that revolutions will get more than reloaded. I just have a feeling about it, because DIE-Hard Matrix fans saw the 2nd one, and like it. Critics, on the other hand, sad it was bad, didn't like it, too confusing, leavs ya hanging, etc. Well, it should tie up all the loose ends and is the finale, so more will see it. Eldritch
Originally posted by XERXES And if Eldritch IS American, what ignorancy he possesses. I am American, but I wonder who is being ignorant here? I love my country, but you can't deny the facts - most Americans are self-centered and enjoy mindless activities. TV, movies and the computer have almost completely replaced reading, theatre and true social interaction. Anything that gives them cause to think too long (or requires actual thought at all) is branded "boring" or "stupid." And with good reason - look where we're at education-wise compared with the rest of the world. I'm not "bashing" America, if that's what you're going to accuse me of. I'm simply accepting the facts for what they are. Which is not to say that we don't have a great deal of people that don't fit the mold I described above, but quite a bit do. How many high-school students can't read a simple sentence aloud, or complain about reading but cheer a movie? I agree with leXX, as she makes a good point. And like she said, let's get back on topic.
XERXES
well back on topic...I understood the matrix reloaded if that what you are getting at Eldritch. And in my opinion...the bottom line is well...the matrix is in my eyes is stated in this sentence. "hey this looks awfully like what might happen if Sarah and John Connor were killed in terminators 1 and 2" When I explained to my gf exactly what happened and the reasons and everything about the matrix she then brough up the fact that it totally rips off the first two terminators without me even saying so. However, there are some cool fight scenes though...but sadly...the fighting scenes in the matrix are heavily computer generated...unlike for example from LOTR where Vigo in particular and then the rest of the main actors all do their own fighting and stunts without computer enhancement to make them float around or attack at in-human speeds. I am sure that lots of Americans are not rather bright...espically in the most southern states (sc hah!) but being in college I notice that lots of people are still very bright and smart. Yes most college people enjoy partying and having fun but damn..they also know how to get their work on too. High School in America is seriously a joke unless you are taking AP classes...and even then those clases are still easy for me. I dont feel like argueing about "what ifs?" of history anymore. I do it enough in class.
