i LOVE the Chili Peppers. they have great songs (i have the last two CDs) and their lyrics are so funny. yes, they may sometimes be sexually-oriented and make no sense, but the songs rock. my favorite songs would be...

Can't Stop

The Zephyr Song

Parallel Universe

Minor Thing

and of course, The Love Rollercoaster:D.

Cool thread man. The Red Hot Chili Pepper's are awesome. There music is just so funky. Flea is one of the best bassist's in my opinion along with John as a guitarist. Some of my favorite song's are

Under the Bridge

Scar Tissue

Where I go

My Friends

This Velvet Glove

The Power of Equality

Can't Stop

You also got to love there fashion style. They dress however they please and don't give a rat's a$$ what they look like. You got like the tube socks too.

If you think that Give it Away and Under the Bridge are early you need to read up on them more. Their funkiest stuff is on Freaky Styley, The Uplift Mofo Party Plan, and Mother's Milk, not to mention the self debut single. You should check out those albums, BCan, since you seem to like the more funky songs.

Not a big fan of Chili's but they do have an awsome onion flower....oh wait....wrong Chili's....

I think they're best stuff is when they play with John Frusciante. I have Californication, but I did not hear the last CD. The singles I heard were decent. I saw them play at Lollapaluza 2, but unfortunately John had just left the band days before the show. I did not think they were too great because they had no replacement guitar player, and Anthony subbed on the guitar, which he really sucks at. Would be nice to see them again in full force. I really love "Scar Tissue", "Breaking The Girl", and "Otherside".

Consider the age of Blood Sugar Sex Magik, it is quite some time ago. I know that these two albums were around, but have never listened to them. Just looks like a lot of people here came on board with Californication, missing out on plenty, even One Hot Minute is more of the Chili's of old, rather than the more relatively mainstream Californication.

They rule. Words can' express how underwealming i found By The Way though. Couple of good singles and the rest is pretty dire.

Thought the same about californication, but it has now grown on me and i love it. Same hasn't happened at all with By The Way though :(

Blood Sugar Sex magic is still their all time classic album though. But i like mothers milk and Californication.

Saw them live in london earlier in the year and they rocked.... although the set was loaded a bit too much towards californication and BTW... probably to please all the teeny-rockers in the audience who all looked a bit confused when they played any songs more than four years old.... sigh.

I like californication, its a good blend of slow songs and funky stuff. By the Way is a little to mellow for me, but i still think its better then what most bands are putting out these days. But the uplift mofo party plan is my favourite album ever, its pure funk.
