Reaper Girl
I always save my save games wierd stuff...when i was twelve, the standard was fbnashjbfn1, fbnashjbfn2. Other times, it relects my thoughts on the game; example "the dam hand guy in the alley2" Other times, it's just stupid "I love Jake!2" or "Sugarhiiiiighguirne3" Sooo........what do y'all name your funfun save games? Lemon Head
I think there's a whole sort of psychology to savegame names. I've noticed that when I (and quite a few other people, though not all) save games when we're on our own, we call them ridiculous things like "Damn you, you stupid goldfish" or "plink fer-nuzzle cloop". However, whenever there are other people around to witness this saving, all of those names go out of the window to be replaced by "CIA 4" or "castle bedroom". Now why is it that we are so ashamed of our saved games? Is it because they provide an insight into our souls, which we htought would be for our eyes only? What is it that we are afraid of? Stop the madness, and be proud of your savegames!
ptdc
Mine are usually dskfjijahsd093wed or something like that asjdfcshfji. Or they start off normal and go downhill. Sometimes I make a mockery of the system and number them.

Tahnee
My savegames are depressingly normal. "Game #1, Game #2," etc. Except for when I'm reeeeally frustrated at a game. I had an EMI savegame once (before my hardrive died) called "#$@!^%vistapuzzle!!!11one!" That vista puzzle and I had issues.
Ernil
I name mine after common Mexican names. Paco, Pablo, Juan, etc. I don't know why...I've been doing since day 1.
Joshi
When I first play the game, it's usually, neil1, neil2 and so on. When I play the game again, it's a save at all my favorite places, like 'Guybrush Threepwoods Pirate Jingles' and so on.

Herman Toothdecay
My save games are very mechanical; first I find out how many parts there are to the game, and leave that many available slots at the top of the list to save at the transition screens. After that I save my games as "Dave1", "Dave2", and so on. Unless it's a game with no screenshot to accompany the saved game, in which case I describe the setting and place in the game. Alia
I personally favor the method of taking a phrase out of the last thing that was said by any character. Examples: "all my dreams" "Wally!" "red dinghy but good!" "what is it with you and flowers?" and other such nonsense.
TheMonkeyGuy
The names of my savegames are things related with the game. Example... If I am playing Monkey Island my savegames are: 1- Monkey Island 2- LucasArts 3- Guybrush 4- Root Beer etc

RicardoLuigi...
i don't really save a game to play it later all that often, i save games when it comes to a funny dialogue choice, or a funny screen. example: stupidgaypoonisfishermanhastwopipes translation: "stupid gay poonis fisherman has two pipes" i know poonis isn't a word....but my little brother called me a poonis once and i kinda stuck.... another one: teeheeiamalmostfinishednoiamnot translation: "teehee i am almost finished no i am not" and things like that. i try to fill up the whole space if i can...i never put just one word. it's usually a whole sentence. anyway...that's a look into my savegames. For me it's usually a combination of the letters "a", "s" and "d'".
scabb
I usually try to make my save games witty yet vague descriptions of what's happening in the game - so you can only understand where the saves are if you've actually played the game. I usually fail miserably and end up with titles such as "Meet Manny" or "Get Hector".
Bushmeister
Location names are the name of the game when I'm replaying my adventures. Otherwise, one file usually called "Bushmeister" or "Connor".
Captain Gonzo
I use my name followed by a number, just out of habit because when I first played these games I shared the computer with my brother and dad, so we'd each have our own save games for our own progress through. Usually if I get to a new part or a cool scene I save so I can start from that point or watch it back though. Then you get boring names like 'Confronting Largo' or 'Part II - Four Map Pieces'... Crazy save game names are cool though, and yeah, the psychology of it would be interesting to get to the bottom of.
Gabez
When I get a new game I'm usually all ":D", so I name my first saved game cool. Then when I play next it's all ":D :D", so I name my saved game cooler. If I need another save slot it's usually just called "other save" :~
Glottis512
I used to describe my location, like : In Atlantis or: Human prison. Then I became paranoid I might overwrite game data and vital files. So then I put in my name and a number. Then I became paranoid I might overwrite a savegame from another game. Like if I was playing M2 and called the file Ali123 I would be worried about deleting my DoTT file of the same name. So now I type jibberish. What a sad paranoid freak of a man I am. :compcry:
Yufster
ha ha ha! I'll open up MI2 first and see... Oh, okay.
