IG-64
i was browsing ign today and i saw something i disliked... The Sims: Makin' Magic i mean, don't they have enough already? thats makes 8 of 'em now encluding the first one. If i was in charge (scary thought) then i would probobly make one more expansion "The Sims: Actually Fun" or lets be serious "The Sims: Ultimate" or something like that. Get all the requests from people to make the expansion to end all expansions, lierally. If youve played the sims before, then you'd know what i mean by this. For one: make an option to customize the character and object (is it really that hard?) two, make the sims a continual world. for example, i make jaden and rosh's house and luke and kyle's house, then i will be able to actually walk/drive manually to kyle and luke's house. i am strongly hoping that The Sims 2 fixes these things, and maybe, scence its hopefully 3d now, you will have first-person/Simulation view switching (the quantum leap) if you've ever played the sims please post your comments about the game and your ideas/hopes for "The Sims: Ultimate"/The Sims 2. The Cheat
i agree that it is getting to be a bit much. im just waiting for the sims 2 now. that is looking very sweet compared to this one
Darth Rythe
Yes, they are going a bit overboard, I saw 'makin' Magic' in a shop and I was thinking....WHY?
Lost Welshman
It is getting a bit pathetic now. I mean... the first two expansions were fun. House Party and Living it up. But then they released another one and I stopped following the series. Now they're on number 8??? That's kinda stupid. The only reason I played the game was to burn people. The expansion packs made it better because they could come back as themselves/zombies which were just as fun to burn again. - edit Nice to see your using the Av I made Rythe Oh and Darky. It may seem evil.. but at least I dont save the game when their dead. Unless I want a haunted house
Darklighter
You sound...really sadistic, Lost XD Anyways, I only bought the first expansion pack, Livin' it up. After that, the whole concept of the game just got stupid and unrealistic. Plus I didn't have enough money to follow the series, and after however many years it's been out, the novelty does wear off rather quickly. I'ma looking forward to The Sims 2 though; gonna be amazing ^^
The Truthful Liar
I thought it was the 10th or 11th addition. Another disappointing fact is that this new pack will probably be on top charts for another 6 months or so.
IG-64
i got all of them, all the way up to unleashed, as much as i wanted pets, i just couldn't bring myself to get another expansion, but i will be looking at the sims 2, hopefully they won't need expantions for that one. Troopr-Undr-Fir
i don't mind the expansions like the last one, uh....super star that was the one. It was fun and challenging to become a superstar, but yeah all i really like to do is be a millionaire pimp and murder all my wives(i once had 4 wives in the same house, HOOHAAA). but this magic thingy just looks retarded. RoguePhotonic
This is the last one and then it's the sims 2....but I was watching G4tv and it showed the sims as like the 4th top selling games ever so no wonder they make more.
KBell
I find that buying expansion packs for the Sims is like buying bottled water. Why buy this when you can get it for free? All you have to do is go on some Sims Fansites and download a ton of addons, save yourself the 20-30 bucks
snowman21
yeah, I'm just going to hold out until The Sims 2. The graphics now are just outdated and the gameplay is old.
TiE23
SIMS SUCK!!!! BTW, I found this out by looking in the FRY's sale page in the paper and BTW, Its the geekiest store in the world! SIMS SUCK!!!! OMG... something bad just happened.... the words are wrighting funny now!!! Kurgan
You gotta admit, the mod community for the Sims is the huggest thing I've ever seen for a 3d pc game... After borrowing the discs from my sister, I downloaded a CD's worth of stuff from fansites and played House Part + Livin' Large with cheats and had fun. But there was only so much you could do. Built my party mansion with a video arcade and super lazy tenants (Jar Jar, Spawn, Freddy Krugger, the Wicked Witch of the West, Darth Vader and Darth Maul). Jar Jar broke the expresso machine (I made him fix it), then drank so much he pissed himself. Maul liked to work out... Then Freddy got depressed so I bought him a stripper, and he cheered up for awhile but then got depressed again. I installed Hot Date but that messed up my whole game (big mistake) oh well... maybe I'll go back to it someday, was kinda fun to mess around with. Yeah, the Mod community is fantastic for the sims, especially because all downloads for the Sims basically only take a fraction of a second to download, even on 56k modems Besides, the mod community for the Sims is basically a stepping stone for Novice modders out there. The Sims is the easiest game to mod on, because everything just consists of small pieces of art, attached with a certain action with a reaction to it. Pretty simple stuff. Neverhoodian
Good God, they're making ANOTHER expansion?! Man, that's crazy! I played the original Sims once, but it was too stressful for me. I have enough to worry about in my real life! But that's just me. I do see how it can be addicting, though.

Nerd_Annhilator
I love The Sims, I was addicted to that game for 1 frickin year!!! I played nonstop on weekends, getting sims rich, or making hobo sims..which was fun, but you are right, no more expansion packs, I really want to play The Sims 2!!!!!! Crazy_dog no.3
I got them all exept the Makin' Magic one not becuase it is getting silly but becuase I didn't want the magic features. If an expasion has a new features I'll buy it. I get all my sims games from Russia and they have cost me less that $20 altogether! Personally I don't care if they are just doing it to get more cash. IMO the Sims should have as many things to do as possible, but then again it's just IMO.
