When I downlaod things, I usually get a box that pops up asking what I'd like to do (Like Save, Open, Close, etc) Well, it doesn't work like that anymore. When I downlaod something, it sends it right to my Temporary Internet Files Folder. Anyone know how I can set it back to how it used to be?

Hmm... if I right click, and choose Save Target as, I can choose where to save. But if I just click a link, it just automatically saves to Temp folder.....

format :)

I did it a couple of weekends ago and it solved all the nagging problems I was having. I was totally infected by spyware though.

I have this problem as well, don't expect an answer & solution from Mircosoft, tried there and the acknowledge the problem but haven't done anything about it.

You'll just have to put up with right clicking and saving, sorry. :(

ZBomber, I had this problem before and know how to fix it, but my memory is a little rusty. Check Interent properties and go to Advanced and look for a box titled "Confirm Open After Download". If there's othing there, try Folder Options (View->Folder Options).

Strange, the notification box is checked, yet it still doesn't work....

That's the trick...don't format your hard drive unless it's really necessary o_O
