-[MotU]-Lyger|=-
So how many people here watch this show? I just got done with the first season and I'm pumped for the 2nd one. Too bad it's not coming out for another 4-5 months. So if you watch it what do you think? I think Clark should obviously get with Chloe she's the better girl out of the 2. snowman21
You betcha i watch smallville! Its like the best show since...ever. I watched another episode of the 2nd season yesterday. its the one WHERE CLARK SAVES LANA!!! . Its an awesome action show but i think lex should die (not the forum lexx ) because he is annoying. Those people get away with murder!
-[MotU]-Lyger|=-
What are you talking about? I love Lex's character. He plays an asshole sooo well. It's amazing. But of course Tom Welling is by far the best Superman, next to Dean Cain. Would be awesome if they made a movie.

Lightsaberboy
third season's getting kind of repetitive. how many more freaks is lana gonna fall for only to get saved by clark? they need to stop dancing around the clark/lana issue and make a move. but it's still a good show. Jared
heh...smallville is awsome. I was afraid they would screw up the storyline or the characters...but they didn't. I havent missed an episode since the first ep. Once I saw that, I was like addicted to it....^^

txa1265
My wife and I watch Smallville every Wednesday night ... the kids know it, and we tailor the routine around it (it is at 8PM here). I think some of the stories seem repetitive, but most of it is about subtlety in character development. I think that the acting and action are quite good. It is interesting to compare Smallville to the Star Wars prequels - they are both stories about people whose futures we already know - so there is no fear of Clark Kent dying, or Lex Luthor, for that matter. And, like SW, that fore-knowledge is both freeing and constricting. Mike
Sam
I used to watch every episode, until I forgot when it came on. Did he learn how to fly yet?

toms
watched a fair bit of the first series. It was a ok, but it was a bit like Dark Angel in that i felt i should like it more, but something never really clicked. I think it fell into the trap of being too repetetive, with a "monster of the week" kind of thing going on and it also seemed to have a large number of plot holes. The token black friend who did absolutely nothing was annoying too. I liked the whole idea of the Clark/Lex friendship though. And any programme with Annette O'Toole in is going to have a reason to watch it. Unforunately we have a channel in the UK called channel4 and they tend to buy american tv shows and then completely screw them up by putting them on at inappropriate times, editing them, moving them around the schedules and so on. Then they dump them because they have terrible ratings (suprise suprise). They did this to Angel, Alias, West Wing and i think they did it to smallville too as i think i missed most of the second series as i could never find it. I expect it either got better in the second series, or became desperate and degenerated like dark angel did in it's second series. One programme I did watch recently on VCD was Birds of Prey. This was pretty similar to smallville, but better i felt. Unfortunately it got canceled after 13 episodes. I felt it made a better use of the superhero/comic universe by having known characters like black canary, clayface and so on come in. That and Ashley Scott was fit. Celluzion
I find SmallVille awesome, but I've seen some forums about it, its a wonder how people actually speculate upon the show and point out everything bad about it. Just enjoy the bloody show, its Fiction. Though some don't make sense. In the original Superman mythos, Krypton was destroyed thousands of years before Kal-El(Clark Kent) arrived on Earth, it was said he travelled in the ship for thousands of years. Yet, in a show called "Relic", it showed Clark's Father; Jor-El on Earth in 1961, how would that make sense? I loved the episode with Perry White, Michael McKean's acting was hilarious, especially with the part where the tractor fell down and he dropped his drink; "This drink is making me see things". One pet peeve is that almost every episode ends with the loft scene, its so predictable... Cut To: INT- Clark's Loft - Day. Clark Lana! Lana *Throws basketball sized hints at Clark that they should be together* But the last episode, Magnetic didn't have *Throws basketball sized hints at Clark that they should be together*. An upside perhaps?

snowman21
Jared is a common name. Another thing on Smallville: I like how the actors are like movie stars. They actually should be movie stars, make money, and then give 10% of the money to me. They are really good. But smallville is kinda predictable. Did anyone see Smallville: 1962? I didn't like it that much.

jokemaster
I'm addicted to the show, it may be predictable and everything, but it's fun. Perry White was hilarious, and seeing the friendship between Lex and Clark is funny, knowing what they are gonna be later. I wonder how Lex goes from kinda shady to pure evil?
