The director, McG (ughh...) wanted her for Lois but was shot down after WB started getting blasted for it. I can only imagine all the crap that he's getting INTO the movie. A source advised the site that the studio will give director McG "his choice for Superman but Warners will demand a couple of marquee names in prominent roles. They'll want a Brando and Hackman." That last line refers to 1978's Superman: The Movie, which cast unknown Christopher Reeve in the title role opposite Oscar-winners Marlon Brando as Jor-El and Gene Hackman as Luthor. Superman-V contacted Willis' agency, CAA, who advised them that they had "nothing to report on this at this time." That's not exactly a denial, is it? The rumor mill recently suggested that Oscar- nominee Johnny Depp was in the running to play Luthor opposite singer-actress Beyonce Knowles as Superman's love interest Lois Lane. But Superhero Hype claims Depp isn't up for the role of Luthor but rather Superman's dad, Jor-El.
