toenail1
this is a quote taken from a post that a moderator (lucasarts eric) said: "Ronda Scott, our Community Relations Specialist is monitoring the mail to this address and reviewing your comments. Rest assured, your voices are being heard." HA! i doubt it. if they wanted to support their fans, then why did they cancel the game although, i hope that they are reading them, and it does give a tad bit of hope
DarkPhobia
this is something that they sent by mail to the iniciator of the online petition (it was posted on adventure gamers forums): "well i just got done converting the hole entire petition to MSword to mail out. it's about 550 pages + a little more. Now the good news. i just got a letter from Ronda at LucasArts. it says "Hi Brandon - We are aware of the online petitions and I have received your numerous updates. As you can imagine, this was not an easy decision for LucasArts to make. We are reading the many emails being sent in and management is fully informed of the number and sentiment of these messages. I personally very much have always appreciated the support from the many fans of our adventure games and regret that the current games market led to this decision. Rest assured, your voices are being heard. Ronda" i should be sending out the petition in the mail by friday. it's going to cost me about 50 dollers to print it all (i'm going to take it to the local libray. it's only aobut 5 sence a page.) should onlty cost about 30 bucks but i have a fealing i'm guna be running of a few copys." Dr Edison 007
Well, that's good. At least one LucasArts employee cares about our outcry.

lagamorph321
Thanks for taking the time to push the petition, getting a response from the head of PR is a good sign. I wonder if their email address is getting flooded with sam and max fan mail? We just need to keep the fan response going to them. Channel all the good vibes on productive stuff. I know of 5 things that are being tried by many die hard fans in no particular order of success: 1. email pr@lucasarts.com 2. pickett protest at the San Rafael office 3. snail mail campaign to send fan images asking for the sequel 4. 13000 + sigs petition 5. preordering from EBGAMES (my shameless plug) - as their policy states - you will not be charged for the purchase until 1-5 days before the day of the release. No money up front and no money spent until it ships. (And it will ship if we keep at it.) Check savesamandmax.com for more.
Skinkie
Maybe this way even if they don't bring it back, they'll at least give us a detailed and non falsified reason as to why they quit... pansys.
DarkPhobia
This is my latest email scream sent at lucascraps: are we REALLY being heard? "if we are, then u must have heard that there more than 14,157 (and that number increases by at least 1,000 more people by day...) sam and max fans that would do anything for their new game, and also that there are endless ways to sell the game (online store, preorders taken to finish the games funding, broadband internet selling via credit card payment, etc...) so, and like so many before me have already said, saying this game isn't marketable is an insanity all along the way, even a jeans salesman (sorry, i had to say it ) like Mr. Nelson could see that his last move is a disastrous one... i mean... jeez!! losing most of your fanbase in one single and pathetic press release... I bet the next thing he'll announce is that there is a Jar Jar Binks game in development... now that would sell don't you think so Mr. Nelson???" I wrote it quite fast this time... so maybe some of the words are not the best ones, since english ain't my native language...
lagamorph321
AAAAAAHHHHHH - bring sam and max back! Keep on emailing though. They might think that they don't owe us an explanation if the email drops off. hee hee
Brushguy
I've been looking over the press release ("not the best time to release a graphic adventure on the PC") and Ronda Scott's message (she blames the market), so I'm beginning to wonder... What if they're just holding the game back for later? They thought the adventure sales were too low for Q2 2004, but there was no way of spreading the news that they moved the release date back (because nobody visited the wimpy Sam and Max 2 page on their site), so they gave us that press release that caused all this nonsense. lagamorph321
I don't think they would have pulled the site and crushed our hopes for the game, if they were planning on releasing it later. I'll only feel safe when the game hits the shelves. Keep on writing pr@lucasarts.com!
Lagomorph01
I think they'll release it, there's to many angry fans out there. It could destroy them not to release it. The only thing we can do now, is pray, and hope... And keep sending e-mails to annoy the crap outta them until they uncancel the best game of the year!!! PS: I am looking forward to that Jarjar game, when is it gonna be released?
a_monkey
...and regret that the current games market led to this decision. Rest assured, your voices are being heard. Ronda" The current games market led to the decision? PLEASE! Then how is it they can release game after game for the Star Wars universe? LucasArts just can't get it through their thick skulls! We don't need nor want more Star Wars based games! Nor do we want lame console based games. We want original PC games. I just wish console games would die and the Nintendo kiddies buying them would grow up and see how much better games on PC are.
Dimensio
I sent a snail mail letter out today. Snail mail letters make more of an impact than email or e-petitions, so I encourage anyone who has an interest in the game to do likewise. I recommend strongly, however, that you word your letter in a somewhat professional fashion. That means using proper grammer, spellchecking, punctuation, full words (never use 'u' for 'you', etc) and an appropriate letter format, either block or indent style. Even if you wish to keep the tone of your letter negative (as I did), avoid profanity. You can see one of the later revisions of the letter that I set in the "Sam & Max 2 cancelled" discussion on this forum. You can find examples of the proper formatting for business letters at http://www.wisc.edu/writing/Handbook/BusinessLetter.html Be sure to include your address at the top (as indicated) and your full name at the bottom. Samnmax221
Well I would like it on PC so it can retain the original feel I signed the petition I'm so $@#$@ing mad I considered making lucasarts insulting game mods

Ray Jones
yeah. there are some great console games out there. buy a pc and get console emulators. available for common operating systems.
Brushguy
I've grown out of console games, but there's nothing wrong with them. I grew up with console games, but now they just seem to be getting redundant. Probably part of growing up.... Embarrassed to say, I got Star Wars Rogue Squadron 3 for Christmas last year, but that's the last Lucasarts game I'm getting 'til Sam and Max Freelance Police. lagamorph321
It is possible to like starwars games AND be a rabid Sam and Max fan, too. Oh and get this, you can also enjoy console games and really like PC games as well (just beating that dead horse). In the end we just want to get Sam and Max 2 out - dissing lucasarts on consoles and starwars is gonna get us nowhere. (even if it is fun). Go play some classic lucasarts games, if you're frustrated. Those kick @ss! :-p

toenail1
Hey I want some console games, and I'm more mature than you will ever be yes gerbil, you show your maturity well i have never had a doubt in my mind that you were something other than a pre-pubescent 7 year old boy just wish console games would die and the Nintendo kiddies buying them would grow up and see how much better games on PC are. amen to that but on subject, now im doubting that LEC is listening to us, they have shown NO signs of it

Ray Jones
just wish console games would die and the Nintendo kiddies buying them would grow up and see how much better games on PC are. console games DONT suck, in fact there have been console games LOOOONG before pc games. also most console versions are much better than the pc ones. not to forget the console only games. i remember having much FUN playing console while legally drinking martini and having sex at the same time. i think it was my birthday last year. how good a game is depends to the game itself, not to the platform, a thought you should not forget. syntee "anaconda" g.. and I thought you have that "Report this post to a moderator | IP: Logged" thingy as sig. and to prove your 7-year old pre-puberscent skills in mature internet forum terrorism, you hacked it into every other users signature. forumwide and just for fun. you soooooo were my hero. now i have to hear that you only have the longest john silver. hmm.. but after some thinking i find "no sig but balls" to be a good compromise, it frightened me a bit but now i am over it, because i considered that my sig isnt THAT voluminous, so there is hope, assuming a proper technique.
