I just got an X-Box and bought ther sequal to Jet Grind Radio(DC), Jet Set Radio Future and Shenmue II. These are great games, that I feel did not get the attention they deserved.

IMHO, Jet Set Radio Future is a load of trash. It is so stupid... you vandalize buildings and "pick up aerosol cans." OMG that is so fun! :o

I never played more than the demo, because it never made it to the US.

Ahh but that's where you're wrong, my store has it...even though I've never played it :o

My pick would be SW: Galactic Battlegrounds

I mean how could you go wrong with a RTS in the star wars universe? WHY I ASK YOU WHY! Really, have you ever seen a good SW game that was an RTS? I don't know, I guess no one likes to vary there gameplay

It has only recently been released in the US.

And I will come out for Gothic 2. I've put more than 60 hours into it, still have a chapter left to go, and am thoroughly enjoying it. What a great RPG!

The controls take getting used to, and you start very weak ... and die a lot early on, but it is worth struggling through that. You can knock people out, take all of their stuff, and cast an Oblivion spell to make them forget you did anything wrong ... :D

Kingdom Hearts-No one wanted to play it because of the Disney logo that appeared at the bottom of the cover. Great game, great story, good character development. Nice pacing throughout the story, and keeps you interested till the end. Good job Squaresoft.

go buy it now! :xp:

PC-The Neverhood Chronicles

That game is, without a doubt, one of the finest (and funniest!) games that no one has seemed to play. You're this clay guy (Klayman) who basically walks around and explores a kooky, crazy, claymation world called the Neverhood.

It's very Myst-like; you walk around and solve puzzles. However, it's the wackiness that really makes the game shine. It's like Looney Tunes meets the Three Stooges with a hint of Ren and Stimpy from time to time. I found myself laughing in hysterics numerous times. Of course, one must consider the source; the game was made by Doug TenNapel, after all (creator of Earthworm Jim and The Tick).

The other overlooked yet awesome game that comes to mind is Viewtiful Joe for the Gamecube, one of the best games ever made. Why is it so good? It has spot-on gameplay, unique graphics (think modern comic book art with just a teensy bit of cel-shading thrown in) and funny characters. It's also one of those games where it's so dumb, it's actually cool.

There's not much of a plot; you're just an average Joe from the real world who's sucked into the movie world. You become a cool movie superhero and fight your way past evil minions to rescue your girlfriend. You can perform all sorts of cool fighting moves and you can even slow time down, speed it up, or zoom in for dramatic flair.

What makes the game so fun to play is that it doesn't even try to be serious. A boss even whips out a script and starts reading from it!:D It's one of those games that reminds you of just how fun video games can be. I think every gamer should at least try Viewtiful Joe.

Viewtiful Joe 2 is under development right now, and it will be for PS2 now as well as the Gamecube. I'm eagerly awaiting its release!

I'm going to go with ShadowMan. A game that went into the subject of voodoo and didn't make it corny.

With a huge, sprawling "world" and lots of off-world areas. The game was massive. You went everywhere from old, run-down apartment buildings, Louisiana swamps and a big, Texas prison (So you know there are some nice people there.) to Deadside locals like the Cathedral to Pain, Temple of Prophecy and my favorite, the Playrooms. Nothing like a blood soaked crib and playpen with eerie music to make your playing experience complete.

The game was an adventure and 3rd person shooter mixed. Something you'd get by mixing Ocarina of time with Max Payne. I loved it so. Lots of characters, not that much development, but that's just because they're already established characters, I guess. Jaunty is the best character ever though. An Irish Snake with a skull for a head wearing an oversized top hat.

Several weapons, real world and voodoo alike. And then one that mixes the best of both worlds, the Violator. Two if you find all 120 Dark Souls. With a pretty solid story, a kick ass main character and even better villain, ShadowMan is probably my favorite game I've played. Jaunty's 2/3rds the reason, of course.

"And if I'm wrong, and the world does end, then you can come back here and kick me arse from here to Hades."
