Doomie
A free fourteen day trial of Starwars galaxies, i believe also with the expansion 'an empire devided.' That is, free to people who pay subscribtion money to fileplanet.com. Wich i don't. Say what you want, i find this cruel. It said: 'Get your free fourteen day trial now!' And i try to download, wham: 'you need to log in.' Then: 'It will cost you money to subscribe.'.... cruel. It says everywhere it's free untill you actually try to download it... Of course this thread is going to get locked, i just wanted to release some anger.
Troopr-Undr-Fir
HA! I laugh at the. But I laugh more at the people who play it and have to pay for an unfinished game
Mex
Er, you don't need to pay at all. I'm downloading it right now.
Doomie
Well, i don't know about you, but i was redirected to a mirror to wich you had to be subscribed to download. When you wanted to subscribe, the prices where underneath. Maybe i'll go and read things trough... Though i'll look like a total jackass when i'm proven wrong, but then at least i've got ma 14 day trial!. [EDIT:] waaaait a minute.... that subscribing thing was something extra. Creating an account is free! God i feel so stupid right now. Might as well change the thread name to 'It's so fair!'
Mex
Hahaha! Told you. Oh and it's gonna take me eight whole hours just to download this, and thats at like 70 kb/s!
TheMadDoofer
It's only cruel to the dial-up fans, seeing as how the file is 1.9 gigabytes.

MuRaSaMuNe
I tried the trial out on the weekend, played for 1 hour and got pretty bored of it. It probably gets better at high levels but I don't have the patience

It's not that bad, just start the dload up before you go to bed and it'll be done when you get up assuming you get normal sleep... But if you're on 56k then that blows, I hated dealing with it for the 5 months I had it.
obi
I've tried something like that before, but it turns out my internet company disconnectes me if it doesn't detect any internet activity for a certain amount of time. =(

Darth Groovy
FilePlanet sucks. SWG sucks. Free trials are traps. Avoid all of it. Move along...
