Sabretooth
Dunno if this is done b-fore, but I was wondering; what sort of music is there gonna be in BF? We know It'll be the usual Star Wars stuff, but they can't play calm, classical tunes in a raging war can they? So on this thread, you can just discuss on what sort of music do you think will/should be in BF.
Whoopknacker
I would say put some SW music on your hard drive and then play. I did that for the Galactic Conquest mod and had a blast playing the Hoth attack music. Music definately makes a difference.
Stingray
I'm confident that Lucasarts will be using appropiate music for the game. I've also read somewhere that the music will be action-specific. This means that, for instance, if you are walking around and not being shot at, you have a relatively peaceful music, but when you enter a vehicle and are in the midst of battle, the music will be action-packed. I suppose the two types of music will fluidly change from one to another.
Alegis
ah, didn't know that stingy, thanks. That rocks, tension is way better then and you react better in action packed music all of a sudden
StormHammer
I will definitely be playing the game with the music turned off. Mostly because I'll be playing online - and I always turn the music off when I play online, so that I can hear better where opponents are. Call Of Duty especially requires you to listen hard for a tell-tale footstep, or distant rustling of a bush. Â So I really don't care what kind of music they include in the game. I've heard the Star Wars themes so many times that it's becoming boring anyway.
joesdomain
I hope Lucasarts gets the ok to use all the music from the 5 films in the game. I don't want original music that isn't composed by John Williams.
Xirion
i say they get The wiggles to do the music!
Kasan Moor
i expect the imperial march, emperor's arrive and many others composed by John Williams like the action theme from episode 2 who the clones march into the ships, very cool....
tFighterPilot
My favorite music is the Binary Sunset (when luke looks at the 2 suns in tatooine), and that neat love theme from episode 2. I hope to hear them a lot
fuzzyfreaker
A Love theme during the Battle of Hoth... Â Forbidden Love between a Rebel and a Snowtrooper... Â Hmmmmm...
Mountainforest
Well, If the Imperials call in darth vader and you get an Imperial March, that would be cool. Â Just a question, I've never really read anywhere that sounds come from different directions. Can you hear that with a headset? ( I don't have one yet)

joesdomain
I will be happy just as long as they don't use new music. Bring on duel of fates, binary sunset, etc.
CortoCG
Well, the best SW games yet featured original music by Clint Bajakian. Movies music is ok, but overused. Back then, the soundtracks sounded silly becuz they were midis and not all of us had a roland sound canvas or something that made them sound respectable. I guess the right combo between new original stuff and some classic movie's songs would be perfect.
VanLingo
I agree that Clint Bajakian is an excellent composer for LucasArts games. He did a great job on the 3d Indiana Jones games.
CortoCG
He also did a terrific job with Tie Fighter and Dark Forces. Those soundtracks are great, I would say my favorites.
